  1. By the way...Both RCCL and Princess can not fill their balcony cabins with non-smokers. I'm sure it has somewhat affected both lines bottom line[/quote]

Our next princess cruise has sold out of balconies?in fact sold out....

  2. Glad about the no smoking on balcony.we love to open our doors in the morning and sit in bed and chat about the day ahead.Last time we were forced to sit with doors shut as couple next to us smoked constantly.

If I boiled cabbage on my balcony all day,I'm sure someone would have something to say about that!!

  3. Thank you MajorTom.I read it as that but my husband ( who is pretty good with shares, money etc) read it differently. We have only had 3 cruises one with Princess, one with Cunard and one with Disney.I foresee us using Cunard again and we have a Princess cruise in August so it may be worth me buying shares..

Although there is no guarantee that the OBC will be available after July 2015..

  4. Is there anywhere on cruise critic that's lists good travel agents that will give you a good price and reduction when necessary?

I didn't realise until last week that you can ring and get the price reduced if you see it cheaper elsewhere, price match etc...

  5. I am English.I have been looking at cruises from the US to England.I want a week or so in Florida then a cruise home. But I can see the cruises appear alot cheaper when advertised in dollars.Could this be possible and can I book on a US website with Princess in order to get a bargain?

I wondered if you Americans pay more for cruises from England to travel round the med, for example.

Should we get together and help each other with the prices of these cruises?

  6. I am from the Uk and booked our August cruise through Princess. When I spoke to the same lady yesterday, she did tell me that they will price match anyone else as long as it is before full payment. If you ring them regularly they can tell you if the price of the cabin has gone down and will alter the cost accordingly, again before final payment...

  7. I saw the programme and thought it was dreadful. It wasn't just the passengers and laundry fiasco, but the music and the patronising commentator...it was like a kids programme.

If I hadn't cruised before I would not want to based on that episode. It was everything I tell people a cruise isn't..I am not elite but would not believe for one moment that anyone who is,is as bad as the woman made out.

Princess should have surely, seen the 4 programmes ready to go out before they were aired.

Well the good side is, if people have been put off from cruising with Princess by this, their cruises may well be more peaceful with less passengers.

I would be worried if I were Princess. They have not got a good advert there for their product.Lets see what next week holds.

  8. What I don't understand is why Princess 'upgrade' so many people.why can't people be left where they are and they sell the remaining cabins.what is their advantage over this?

And is it best to book through a TA? I would like to know some good British ones please. It seems the good ones I read about are not from the UK.

We have only done one other cruise ( our first ever) with Princess to the Antarctic and we were recommended and sold a 'Very popular' cabin. We had been booked for 16 nights under the outside lido deck with 24 hour scraping of chairs..We were naive to cruising and hadn't got any advice from cruise critic
