There is no price limit  but generally the  ones  part of the  O Life offerings are  under $200  mark

If you find one that is not in the excluded list  then  it will be part of the Olife deal

When I look  it shows in CAD  so prices are over the  $200 mark   😉

Thanks. May I give you 1 example? In Kuala Lumpur, shore excursions KUL-003 "Kuala Lumpur - The garden City". Price is 186€ which is around 225 USD. And I have seen several excursions in Jerusalem (ASH-002, 003, 005, 007) priced at 177€ (215 USD). So you think I could choose them within my Olife package?

    3) Shore excursions. These have a potential value as you pay $100/per O Life excursion and can get ones up tp $199. If, however, you plan doing most things on your own, you do not need shorex's but cruise only.

So if you are interested in the number of excursions that are part of O Life - get it. If you are doing everything on your own, get cruise only.

I have just booked my first Oceania cruise. I have read several time that the price limit for a shore excursion to be part of the Olife option is $199. But I cannot find this criteria on Oceania website. I have read that the following shore excursions are excluded (Oceania Select, Oceania Exclusive, Executive Collection, Food & Wine Trails, Wellness Discovery Tours by Aquamar, Go Local, and Culinary Discovery Tours), but nothing regarding a price limit. So my question is simple : if I see a shore excursion that is not among the excluded shore excursion by nature, but whose price is higher than $199, I should consider that I cannot go for it?

Welcome to an American cruise line.  We are a little more flexible and less literal in our communication, and that was what you experienced with your Oceania advisor.  You will see on the menu above that there are 5 categories of what we broadly call “wines” on the drink menu.  All 5 are included in the package.  You will note that no category is simply called “wine”.  But they all contain the word “wine”.  I hope that helps you.

Thank you! But as far as I can see, Champagne is clearly indicated as a separate item from red or white wine. That's the reason why I am wondering whether it is part of the wine and beer package. I guess it makes sense and my question is still relevant! Anyway I am not an English-speaking guy thus I will not argue on that any further. My only concern is to make sure I can get a glass of champagne should I opt for the standard package which seems to be the case following both answers I got. Thanks again.

  4. I have just booked my first Oceania cruise aboard Nautica for May 2023. It is still a long time to go. I have a question regarding champagne : is it really included in the standard house select drink package? Because my Oceania cruise advisor tells me that this package only includes wine and beer. Thanks for your clarification.

    Safe, Timely Return Home

Silversea has developed a robust repatriation plan should any guest or crew member fall ill with COVID-19 while on board one of our ships. We have worked closely with local authorities to ensure that immediate medical attention is provided should the need arise, and have strengthened and upgraded our telemedicine consultations. Silversea will cover COVID-19-related expenses for onboard medical and repatriation costs.

  6. Do you know whether véranda suite #815 aboard Silver Whisper is a good location? It seems that adjacent to this cabin is a service or crew area. Can you confirm? Same above. Should I expect noise or disturbances from these service / crew area? Many thanks in advance.

  7. Hello Irene

I have cruised aboard Queen Victoria suite #5192 (it is not aft corner but just next to it) and should not be much different from the Queen Elizabeth suite you mention in your post. It might give you some idea how it looks like. It is a very large suite and very large balcony as well. We enjoyed it very much. Be just aware that it might not be an ideal suite should you be prone to seasickness. I hope you will get some pictures of the exact cabin you are looking for. Cheers.

Hoping we will be going to cruise this November (Dubai to Mumbai). Can anybody who has done the Taj Mahal pre or post cruise tell me what it was like. Also, I can't seem to find the cost and my TA has not been able to get me a price. I am sure it is spendy but hopefully worth it.

Hello, Please find below the requested information coming from SS travel advisor.

"The price for 3NT PRE TAJ MAHAL, AGRA & DELH (03PREBOM03) is EUR 2,980 per person."

I find it quite expensive, thus I will manage by myself (I should be on the 14 day cruise between Mumbai and Singapore).

  9. I was wondering to which extend it is possible to book and embark a ship at the very last minute. To be more explicit, I intend to settle down close to Fort Lauderdale in a near future and I was wondering whether it would be possible to show up at the cruise terminal let say @ 2 or 3 pm and ask whether there is still some availability on the ship due to depart at 5pm. And if yes whether I could pay and board the ship. Does someone have had this kind of experience and if yes is it possible to get good price? Thanks.

Not sure when cancellation emails will go out but all December cruises aren't on the website any more. Cruises are set from January now so expect the cancellation any time now! I was on the Christmas Shadow cruise and as of this morning can't book excursions then spotted around 11:30 it disappeared off the Silversea website. Still showing on MySilversea but I know its gone. As from the UK we still can't travel part of me is relieved but part of me is still a little sad.

same for me. My December 4 Shadow cruise is not shown on SS website. I have not received my official cancellation mail from SS but I have already asked my SS TA to proceed immediately for a 100% cash refund. When the pandemic started I had 3 cruises booked. September 20, December 20 and may 21. September 20 was cancelled end of June. Full refund received beginning August. May 21 cancelled last Friday. SS indicated that I should get my refund between December 1 and 11. So no more bookings for the time being. I really hope being able to cruise again before the end of 2021!

  11. I am supposed to board Silver Shadow on December 4, 2020 and have not received any mail from SS regarding a cancellation of my cruise. So I guess that only WC 2021 is cancelled at this stage but not December 2020 cruises.

My understanding is that the Cruise with Confidence program covers you in this scenario but only for FCC.

While working with them for a January cruise they outlined my options.  If the cruise is going to execute but I change my mind for any reason up to 30 days before sail date I can execute the Cruise with Confidence program but I am only entitled to FCC, not a refund.

    • Effective 6 October, your clients will be able to cancel their cruise up to 30 days prior to departure for all voyages until 30 December, 2021, without penalties when selecting a Future Cruise Credit. Applicable for all bookings made prior to 30 November 2020.
    Source: https://www.silversea.com/lp-trade-CWC-cruise-cancellation-and-commission-protection-guidelines.html

They further outlined the only scenario where I can get a refund this close in would be if the cruise is cancelled and I had not already initiated the Cruise with Confidence program.

Thanks for your answer. The case I mentioned is specific and not explicitly described in the frame of the cruise with confidence policy. Formally speaking I will not cancel my cruise. I am just forbidden to reach the port of embarkation and the port of disembarkation. So Silversea will not have the right to take me as a passenger. Knowing as I have booked my flights with them from Switzerland to Puerto Rico and back from Miami before the restrictions entered into force. So I would find fair to be entitled a full refund.
