This is what my TA says about that voyage for us. We are on that leg plus the next one.

I have not received any notification regarding changes to your cruise and Silversea Reservations does not have any specifics either.

I am so sorry that your TA is not yet aware of this change. I am in direct contact with Silversea London and once again the change has been confirmed by Barbara Muckermann herself on Facebook. The website is not updated yet since SS wants to finalize the new itinerary before. Should be the case beginning of next week. I would suggest that you have a direct contact with SS to get more reliable information. My air ticket has been updated with a return from Guayaquil. If you have the opportunity to go to Silversea passenger page on Facebook you will see that there are many interactions on this change.

Just checked with our TA in FLL and she has not heard anything about that. The return air was supposed to be from Chili and was changed to Equator ? Delta has been having problems.

The termination of the cruise in Guayaquil instead of Lima has been confirmed by Barbara Muckerman on FaceBook. Since I had booked my flights through SS (Air France and KLM), SS has already proposed a return flight from Guayaquil instead of Lima. At the moment I can see both bookings on MySilversea. But by tonight, I guess SS will cancel the return from Lima, leaving only the return from Guayaquil. The question now is what will be the new itinerary for the last 4 days of the cruise. I guess we should know soon. At least, I hope so.

  3. So far no idea what the new itinerary will be. We terminate in Guayaquil on December 18 although we were supposed to call there on December 14 according to the original itinerary. Are we going to have 4 sea days? Are we going to have a 4-night stay in the port of Guayaquil? We shall know soon I guess.

  4. I have just been informed by my SS travel advisor that my cruise from FLL to Callao Lima Peru will now terminate in Guayaquil since Peru is now closed for cruise ship. I hope that it is not going to be a domino story where other countries will close one after another. My cruise is in 14 days but I am not really optimistic.

With an August 2022 cruise, when would Silversea contact us about booking the flights?  Or do we contact them?  I don't see anything online about it.

SS usually book flights 300 days before cruise departure. What I usually do is that I make my own search for flights and send a detailed proposal with dates and flight numbers to SS. Usually they book exactly what I want and in most cases they even cancel deviation fees if flying 1 or 2 days before cruise departure which I usually request.

Strange systems they have that they cant spit out how many fare paying passengers are sailing!

400 is quite a lot, though having sailed the Muse fully loaded, it still didn't feel crowded anywhere.

I wonder if everything will be fully open?

I have sailed the Muse end of 2019 between Bali and Sydney with 500 passengers and it was quite quiet! So even if there are 400 PAX, should be quite nice knowing that from what I have understood the SS executives/employees will not remain on board for the entire duration of the cruise. We shall see but even fully loaded, I know that SS ship never seems to be crowded! I will let you know as soon as I board the ship on December 2.

I'm on the second iteration of this starting on 3 Jan. My SS agent seems to think the loading for ours is nearly 400 - though his figures are based on availability and suspect a fair number of the booked rooms may be solo or "reserved for quarantine" rooms.

I suspect if there is a sudden large jump of guests, its an absolute certainty its a group booking or a ridiculously cheap sell off via a third party (like to agents in the travel industry - who do exist and give excellent mouth watering discounts.)

I'm guessing we will find out in due course!

Will be finally sorting car parking, seat reservations and ESTA today and the reality a cruise I'd given up any hope of sailing on will now hopefully happen.

Your cruise seems to be more loaded than mine (36 cabins available for sale on yours vs. 64 cabins on mine). According to my SS travel advisor, my cruise departing December 2 will have some high rank SS executives/employees on board for some days that could explain why the number of available cabins has suddenly decreased. He told me that the loading should be approximately 400 passengers.

Good morning, yes, they do provide masks but I bring my own too. I have a black one with a bit of bling on it for evenings🙂......it goes with every outfit🙂

Thank you very much for your answer.

  9. On the upcoming Silver Moon cruise from FLL to Lima departing December 2, 2021, while the number of cabins available for sale was quite stable for a long time at approximately 130, suddenly during the last weekend of October that number fell to approximately 70 and that number remains stable since then. So 60 cabins (max 130 PAX) were potentially sold in just a couple of days and I suspect that it could be a huge group joining the cruise. I find it strange because it’s quite a long cruise for a charter (16 days) but maybe those people will disembark after a shorter period of time. Do you think my assumption is realistic?

As far as I can tell tickets are sent out much later in Europe, we got ours on Saturday for the 19th Nov crossing on the Moon, about 2 weeks after those in the US got theirs. On that basis yours should come sometime next week.

    Thanks for this information. Appreciate!

Hi, no time slots on any of my paperwork. The time listed is 14.00 (2.00)

Do you think the terminal building will be open at noon even if the check-in process starts well after? We have no problem waiting there but would like to avoid being trapped outside the building with no places to sit down!

Hi, yes I got my e-ticket this morning. I am surprised your documents are no longer there. It is above my covid stuff on there.

Thanks. Have you been able to get additional information regarding Spinnaker2 comments "In completing the forms on MySilversea there are boarding time slots that one may select to board for the Whisper."?

Good morning, if you go to your Mysilversea and click on the booking tab, there will be another tab that says "Guest Information Form"........all your information should be on that one and if you scroll down, below your "Emergency Contact Information",  (well, that is where it shows on mine) it says, "Boarding Hours"   14.00.  I don't have a red asterisk on it but the time is definitely there.

Thanks Lois. Since I have uploaded our vaccine certificate onto "MySilversea" the "guest information form" has disappeared. Now I just have our 2 vaccine certificates + Air ticket. I guess I will get the detailed boarding time as soon as I receive my cruise ticket by email. It should be anytime now. Have you received yours?

We have the same with a red asterisk next to it.  For the time being, I'm going to take that as I good sign that we'll be up for boarding at that time.  I don't know about you, but I do not intend to make it later.

May I ask you on which document you see a red asterisk next to the boarding time?
