We were on Eclipse in January this year, nothing ‘sad’ about our cabin or the rest of the ship.
She isn’t in new condition, but we’d happily sail on her again without a second thought.
Not in the MDR though, there are few of them on duty and they are run ragged just getting one glass filled in front of each customer...
Also they do tend to limit the choices available each day for speed of service delivery...
Unfortunately you are not going to find the full range available in any one location, and availability will vary from day to day.
I would suggest you just ask for a small sample when you order if you are concerned about the wastage.
On Eclipse I would suggest you try 'Cellar Masters' as that location is more likely to have a wider range, but there is no guarantee that any particular wine you choose will be available in the MDR or Tuscan for example...
I wouldn't get too excited, we got our email today and there is a short list of very ordinary spirits, and a small selection of white/red wines circa. $20 a bottle and a champagne around the same level. .
So unless there is a better list for high level YC Cabins...
This one is a very common problem on bookings after final payment date...
The trick seems to be a quick call to get them to unbundle the AI promotion right after your booking shows as fully paid on their system.
I've not had the problem again since doing that...
That is correct, you do not need the Premium package, the Classic package also includes a waiver for corkage.
It is the Zero Proof package that does not include the waiver...
I sincerely hope so...
I used to work in a very large international hotel company and her designs would never have got past the testing stage, and frankly would not have even got that far I suspect...
Makes you wonder if they even had a testing stage, they all look like they were reviewed and approved from images only...
Looks like you are safe, it is Solstice on Sept. 22.
I'm not that bothered what the nature of the group is, but I'd never knowingly cruise with any large group onboard as they inevitably impact on the enjoyment of the facilities by others, due to their tendency to cluster.
If you are in a suite on Celebrity you can just go to The Retreat and wait in the lounge there and be escorted off in small groups, bypassing lines before security.
Not quite to the door of the bus, but a lot better than going to the Theatre...
Indeed, it feels like they have finally woken up to the degree to which people make refundable bookings for multiple cruises with the intent to pick just one of them.
Anything which reduces this behavior is a good thing I think.
It is always good to check the menu, but we've paid less for the 'Duo' deal in advance than we would have paid for one Tuscan reservation on Celebrity, so it really is good value even with the menu restrictions.
The other deals during the cruise are just a bonus 🙂
There is the way it is supposed to be, then there is the way it can sometimes happen...
Never hurts being in a RS or above if you want to do that... 🙂
It can also be dependent on occupancy on a particular cruise, so I wouldn't assume that everyone in the Retreat can just wander into Blu when it takes their fancy...
By request in advance and on a space available basis only...
Personally I would not suggest hopping between Luminae and Blu for someone with multiple serious food allergies...
Much better to work with the same team in Luminae to ensure consistent delivery of safe food.
