  1. That worked for me when I did it a couple of months ago.
  2. It really does depend on just how much you want to look straight down, we don't generally find there is much to see down there... If you look out from the slant hump cabins on deck 6 then this is what you will see...
  3. It was clearly set out in the offer of the 'Duo' package that we purchased recently... ... and as already pointed out, your math is off, as you are saving much more than $10 by the time you add in the cost of the appetizer, desert and a side that you get with the package. Compared to prices on some other cruise lines, these deals are very good... I really don't see how anyone could have a reasonable expectation that they were purchasing unlimited menu choices at less than $25 for a 3 course meal...
  4. You can order one of the regular items on the menu in place of one of the included items for 50% of the item price... The price of the packages is low enough that this seems like a fair compromise to me...
  5. Priority is a relative term... Concierge priority is going to put you behind all those in Suites, Zeniths etc. so handy, but not life changing 🙂
  6. This part of the email I received would seem to suggest otherwise... "Since you are currently booked on a voyage that departs on or after April 12, 2023, the new legal terms will apply to your cruise. No action is required on your part, but if you wish to view the changes that are now applicable to all guests booked on or after April 12, 2023, they’re available to you, here:" They are using departure date, not booking date for the new changes...
  7. I think it might be an attempt to stop those who are not actually US residents from taking advantage of the more liberal repricing policies in the US. UK residents have often been happy to be subject to the US T&Cs since they cannot reprice UK bookings when prices fall... This change would make it pointless for non-US residents to use a US TA in most cases.
  8. Thanks, that part wasn't in doubt fortunately 🙂 The problem was only outside the Yacht Club in the speciality restaurants, but it looks like that wording has now been changed and is no longer a concern, so a good outcome for sure. Now just have to wait and see if the ships got the memo as well as the website 🙂
  9. I certainly hope that there will be no problems, but for clarity, my Yacht Club booking very definitely does specifically state that it includes the "Premium Extra Drink Package".
  10. Never doubted it was possible in the past, but currently, as cublet has confirmed, the wording has changed and PE is no longer shown as valid in speciality restaurants...
  11. Might have to make that a 'maybe'... Currently our Yacht Club drink package says it is valid in speciality restaurants, but others with more recent bookings have reported that is no longer the case...
  12. You can cheat or choose to be 'virtuous', really no different to the 'health' questions we've been answering before each cruise for many years now... If it prompts a few people to discover they are positive then it was not entirely pointless...
  13. We had the same in Sydney back in January. They checked the photo properties to see the date/time stamp.
  14. 'Premium' isn't a grade of wifi package though... The two options are 'Browse' or 'Browse & Stream' ... They list the included Yacht Club package as 'Browse' the lower of the two options...
  15. ... are you sure that is still the case? This is how it is currently listed on the MSC website... "Premium Internet package (Browse - 2 devices Unlimited Internet Package)"
  16. What you want to do is not possible.. You either make individual reservations in advance as you have done, or you book a multi-day package and have to wait until you are onboard to make your reservations. The inability to make advance reservations is the reason you get a discount on the package. So if the time and day of dining is important to you then you can't get a discount package...
  17. Personally, if I was going to cancel a cruise, I would first go online and cancel any excursions and dining reservations, just to get those processing ahead of the cruise cancellation.
  18. It is no longer the case now though with the new implementation mentioned earlier... It may not be fully working in all regions yet, but it is getting close...
  19. Even if you want to move a little further up the price list I'm just not seeing the value in upgrading these days. Going to have to put some effort in to run up a tab for around $20 a day per person just to break-even...
  20. They had the additional seating toward Park West when we were on back in January, but when things got busy they just overflowed into Sushi on 5 pretty much every day. Never had an issue finding a seat and service was almost immediate. I wonder if they have cut back the staffing a little there... ?
  21. Usually, when needed, they open So5 for additional seating at times when it is not in use and position staff Cafe over there as well.
  22. It was the same in January when we boarded Eclipse in Sydney, got there early but no queues anywhere so straight onboard.
  23. I suspect that was their point... There is no way to get the package without having the gratuities included as even if you purchase it online, where the price is usually shown without the gratuities, the gratuities get added to the price when you reach the payment page....
  24. That is true, but after previous shuffling of purchases resulted in a refund getting lost in the system, I do take the time to make sure that all my expected transactions online balance correctly against my credit card. I don't depend on them to get the charges or the refunds right, and that avoids the situation you found yourself in...
