We always look at it as a slightly better location with some little perks. When we are looking for a balcony cabin on a cruise, we price out the location we want, and usually Concierge is just a little bit more for a few extras so if we think it is worth the price increase for mostly better location, then we pull the trigger.

We sailed in a sunset veranda deck 9 on the Summit. We loved it. We didn't hear very much of the chair scraping, but we could hear muffled chatter. We really only heard it when we were standing at the railing. The best part was we could hear the musicians who were singing or playing the guitar. It was really enjoyable.

DH and I will also walk the main corridors on decks 4 & 5 when it is not optimal conditions on the running track. I also like to walk outside on deck 5. Can't wait to read your thread. We sail on the reflection next month.

We sailed on Quantum of the Seas from Vancouver to Hawaii in October 2022. It was the best. We flew into Vancouver 3 days early, and then spent 10 days on the ship. with a stop at Victoria BC, then 5 sea days, 2 days in Maui, and then the last 2 in Honolulu. We loved the sea days and the overnights. We did have some rough seas the first few sea days, but once we got to warmer waters, everything was smooth sailing. I would do it again in a hot second. The next time, I want to continue on from Hawaii to Australia. that would have added 18 more days. Next time. 😃

We booked the excursion on Nov. 12. Our calendar on the website shows the excursion at 8:45 on day 4. The excursion does not show up at all on our calendar on the app.

This is what I was wondering. We will check our tickets and/or ask at the excursion desk.

We booked through Celebrity ship excursions. That is why I was confused when I saw that the ship doesn't anchor until 10 a.m., but 8:45 and 10:15 excursions were offered. So we would have to tender and then get our excursion. Neither of those times work. We haven't received any correction emails.

What is "Main Character Syndrome?" Would that be, "All About Me?" Just curious, I've never heard that expression. 😃

We are sailing over Christmas, and we booked a ship excursion in the Cayman Islands because we will be there on Boxing Day. We booked an 8:45 timeslot because the website would not let us book a 10:15 slot. But after looking, we discovered that we don't arrive until 10 a.m. Will X reimburse us for our excursion as an OBC or will we be on the excursion at the first time of the day no matter when we arrive? One other question, will most shops be closed because of Boxing Day? Or, is this no big deal and it will be business as usual?

We have started doing this as well. We go in at least one day early, and then stay at an airport hotel after we disembark and then we fly home a day later.
