  1. My account had issues the last few days, but I can log in now and comment! 🙂 I'm gaining weight just looking at these pictures! Nice to see that the train had a place for your luggage as well, but it's not very secure is it?
  2. Thanks! Royal did offer that service before the pandemic, but not now I guess. Safe travels to Italy!
  3. I waited longer this time to pay final payment because of a bunch of charges on my travel credit card and I decided to book a lot of traveling recently. Well, I paid online with a big box store. My cabin was fine. Kids (17 and 15)- ERROR! The booking agent never made a comment that our cabin was right next door to theirs. Couldn't pay online. After 3 phone calls with big box store and Royal, it got all straightened out, but Royal said they could not do anything until the charge cleared. Well of course this time it took 7 days for the charge to be posted to my credit card. Normally only 2-3 days. No more online payments and I'm paying earlier too!
  4. @BennyBrun I know you don't need this service, but can you let me know if they do the luggage straight to airport service? Is there anything on the app? I never paid attention on my past cruises this year, but this December we might need that so we can freely explore after disembarkation. What am I going to do without your pictures when your cruise is over? 🙂 Thanks!
  5. It's actually operational! How many times have you seen the balloon actually take off at Perfect Day?
  6. I will never forget the glee on my teens' faces when returning to Cape Liberty in 2019 and the waves were rough. Turned the Anthem main pool into a wave pool. Cleared out the stink eye people!
  7. I swim on Perfect Day. I was trying to doggie paddle and the pool wasn't crowded yet, and still I could see people giving me the stink eye. LOL!
  8. I'll be taking just my 1 daughter over Easter break in April. If I were sailing solo I would NOT be on a ship packed with families, but I have to instill the love of cruising into 1 of my kids. 🙂 At least I will be driving and not dealing with air travel!
  9. Glad that all is OK with you! I agree about the Zip Line. It was nice that when I did it I could do it twice since the line was not long. Takes longer to get geared up for the activity than the actual zip line itself!
  10. @BennyBrun some of us are concerned that you have not posted in a long time. Maybe your phone broke and you can't get a new one doing back to back cruises?
  11. My week before Easter cruise (yes, I know) is $139 pp!!! But Christmas- NYE week (only a 4 night cruise) is $89 pp! Ah NO!
  12. I was just going to suggest the holding of the nose. My 15 yo suggested that and she was right, made the slides more fun!
  13. I have been lucky. Both times at Coco Cay my ship was the only one. But the June 2022 cruise has Thrill Water Park totally packed. Went on that tallest slide in the morning and it was maybe a 90 minute wait?
  14. I have a cruise in June 2023 and only a few VERY expensive excursions were offered. Today I looked and they are slowly adding different excursions (Victoria, BC in particular). Unfortunately you just have to check each day. Back in 2017 when we went to Alaska, they were all published Sept/October before my June cruise. Good Luck!
  15. I normally avoid "pound cake", but I tried 1 of those that last cruise and I thought it was moist and quite tasty. Between that and the Coconut cookies, I'm good!
  16. Black Friday sales! I always wait until then to buy even soda package and internet if I can.
  17. WOW! I am behind in reading your posts. Life is very busy here in PA. 🙂 3 cruises in 1 year for me is a record. But you ( and others on CC) take it to a new level!
  18. I've been on 2 cruises this year. April was a solo, no COVID and June with the family and no COVID. April cruise I wore mask while embarking and disembarking as those were the rules then. No other time. June cruise we all did wear masks when we were stuck in the "loading area' in beautiful Bayonne, NJ when Oasis pulled away from the deck for over an hour before it came back to let another ship out of the dockyard. No more masks the rest of the cruise. My husband did get COVID when he went to a convention and masks were not required. My teens just started school with the 1 really sick. We were sure it was COVID. Nope! Sinus infection. Tested at home and later in week at dr. office. She is fine now. Other had sore throat and turned out was sitting eating lunch at school with a friend who did end up with COVID. But no COVID for her. You just don't know.....
  19. Check out Miniature World in Victoria. Took my 12 and 10 year old daughters years ago and it went well. My husband actually enjoyed it the most. 🙂
