This is pretty common in Europe and I've seen it a few places in the US. They want you to either bring your own reusable bag, or skip the bag altogether. Usually when you pay for a bag though, you get a reusable one...not a typical throw away.

Happy Birthday Dani! 🎂 If you like the Prey series, you will have A LOT of new books to read. I read the Virgil Flowers books first and keep meaning to "go back" and read the Lucas Davenport books. Maybe the first of the Prey series books will be my next download. I'm interested in what you think of it. I still haven't finished the most recent Jack Reacher book that I started on our Napa trip a few weeks ago. I've been busy and the book just didn't "hook" me. It was written/co-written by Lee Child's brother Andrew and isn't quite the same. Still good...just not really a page turner.

Building on this Lenny, if you don't see contacts on the left side of your screen (you may be using a different app to manage email), you should first go to mail.aol.com in a web browser. Once you are able to click contacts on the left side of your screen, click the check box next to each of the addresses that you want to delete. Then click on the trash can above the list of contacts. Wow Dani...can't believe that this will be your first James Patterson book. I really enjoyed the Michael Bennett series and the Alex Cross books are great (hence the movies). If you like the Sandford Prey series, get the Virgil Flowers series also from Sandford. Virgil worked for Lucas Davenport from the Prey series. He's an interesting character.

I became a Lord last Christmas (gift from my daughters). Got the framed proclamation to prove it. Only problem is that I had no King to whom I could swear allegiance. I now bend a knee to you, King Andrew, master of the ice and wave, first of his name. Edit: Technically, I'm a Lord in Scotland which means that King Charles is my true King. Don't tell him that I'm switching to King Andrew.

Congratulations to your niece, and what a great idea to bring her school's retired custodian! I'm all for anything that promotes girls doing things that are traditionally male focused. There is still too much of a stigma, particularly between girls, of girls doing "boy things".

The problem with having a teenaged boy's metabolism is that you also will have a teenaged boy's hormones and a teenaged boy's brain. Although my wife would probably say that I still have both of those.

We had another great day at The Players today. Perfect weather. We spent a good part of the day walking the front nine, where there are fewer crowds, and you can get close to many of the players. The course is amazingly beautiful. Behind the 4th green looking back at the 4th fairway Looking down the 5th fairway towards the 5th green. The 5th is a really hard hole. Cam Young getting ready to hit his second shot on number 5 from the deep rough. He left it just short of the green but then hit a great chip shot for a tap in par. These guys play a VERY different version of golf than I do. Behind the 7th green looking back at the 7th tee. And finally, sitting behind the 18th green looking back down the 18th fairway. This is one of the most intimidating drives in all of golf, with the hole curling to the left around water down the entire left side of the hole. The tee is in front of the white tent on the right side of the picture.

Of course. In case they get a hole in one.

We had a fun day yesterday at The Players golf tournament. Got to watch Scottie Scheffler take a 2 stroke lead into today’s final round. Headed back to the course in about an hour. Weather should be perfect today. The famous 17th island green hole is always fun to watch. There is a huge stadium like setup all around the 16th green and 17th hole. From the 16th fairway IMG_0357.MOV From behind the 17th tee. IMG_0355.MOV I tried their signature drink for the first time. It’s called a Sawgrass Smash. Very (very) tasty. Doesn’t taste like it has any alcohol in it, which is dangerous. Cheers!

Wow. I play golf and go out to dinner, only to find that I'm 8 pages behind before I even get started. Wish we could have joined you, but I fully expect that I'll be able to live vicariously through you guys on this thread. Greg - I've got a drink to add to your list...a toasted pecan old fashioned. Tasty. It uses William Wolf pecan flavored bourbon, but that might be unlikely onboard. At only 60 proof, it's like drinking a mocktail. In any case, I'm sure you'll report on the bourbon situation onboard. Maybe you can find a friendly bartender who can squeeze a late night XXO onto your drink package. 😉 Safe travels and Bon Voyage to everyone!

My first car was a 1973 Plymouth Satellite. It started as my father's business car, which he bought after 3 years to use as the kid's car (so they wouldn't have to drive us everywhere). It was a great high school car for both me and my 2 year younger brother. I put JBL 6X9 speakers into wooden boxes that I mounted on the rear dash, connected to some sort of under dash stereo/8 track player (can't remember the brand). I thought it was the best sounding car in the world with the volume cranked!

We stopped in the Hagerty shop to take a quick look at the merchandise. Wayne was doing a book signing. Saw him talking to a couple of book buyers while signing and he seems like a nice guy.

I didn't post this picture earlier, but it's a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado. She's not a tank, she's a boat. You could fit one of those little Fiats inside her trunk and then drive it into a lake and she'd float!
