  1. If you choose to fly Frontier, JC's point about them flying a couple of times a day is an important one. If something happens to your flight, they will not book you on another airline. They best they will do is put you on the next Frontier flight with available seats. That might be OK if the next flight is later that day. Could be a big problem is the next flight is in 2 days. Same is true with Allegiant. It's one of the risks that you take with a low cost airline.
  2. The pics and video look great. I can just imagine sitting in a lounge chair, looking at that view, with a Painkiller in my hand. Paradise!
  3. This is where my daughter found her new kitten Roo this morning. I think Roo will be a bit of a challenge for her. 😁
  4. Seeing this reminded me that we have a great recipe for marinated pork tenderloin. One of my favorites. Haven't made it in a while but that will need to change. 1/2 cup oil 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 3 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon parsley 1 tablespoon dry mustard 1.5 teaspoons pepper 1 clove garlic crushed Combine all ingredients and marinate pork covered and refrigerated for 4 hours. Grill or broil. Yum.
  5. Flightware currently shows you at the gate in BWI at 2:10...about 25 minutes late. Hopefully they can make up some time in the air. Good luck.
  6. My take on Castal Kitchen and the Suite Lounge on the Quantum Class (based on QN and OV) and Oasis Class (based on AL, OA, SY, and HM): Coastal Kitchen on Q class is bigger (easier to get the times you want and more likelihood of eating dinner there if in a JS) and is on the starboard side of deck 14, right before the entrance to WJ. That means that you get great views of the ocean from the Q class CK as opposed to mostly looking over the kids pool in O class. There's no bar in the Q class CK so it takes a while to get drinks and we had to use a drink coupon when we ordered one, even if during happy hour (as opposed to O class where drinks at dinner have always been free for us). The Suite Lounge on Q class is all the way aft on deck 12 (13 I think for Odyssey). Hint: If you have a great TA (😉), he'll get a suite for you on deck 12 so you don't need to take any stairs. It's a decent walk to get back there but once there, the entire back of the ship is floor to ceiling windows with great wake views. Like CK though, there's no bar there and it takes a minute to get a drink. The SL on O class has a bar right on the lounge, which means you can sit in a chair and be served by a waiter or sit at the bar and be served by the bartender. We like to do both. Individually, you could argue that both the Q class SL and CK are better based on size and better views. Because of the walk back to the Q class SL, and then the walk from there to the CL, and the lack of a bar in the SL, we skipped the SL several times and had happy hour drinks elsewhere in the ship. We prefer the "one stop shopping" of the combined O class SL/CK, especially if staying in a deck 17 cabin. It's also very easy to get a beer/wine during the day and pick up bottles of water as needed on O class.
  7. I agree completely. I also like Music Hall on Q class a lot. I don't like the layout of Dazzles/Music Hall on O class. Too long and skinny with bad sight lines. Still, I think I prefer O class to Q class. I like the Royal Promenade more than the disjointed Royal Esplanade. We sail in suites and I like the Q class Coastal Kitchen better, but I really like the whole deck 17 of O class with the combined CK/SL area.
  8. Today was mostly a very good day. I'm battling a head cold (negative for Covid) but still played golf this morning and shot a 79. That's only the 3rd time that I've been able to break 80. While I was playing golf, Micheline went to the grocery store and bought some fresh Mahi (aka MahiMahi, aka Dorado, aka Dolphinfish). She made fish tacos for dinner. Wow were they tasty, and apparently healthy also (ignoring the tator tots).
  9. Anyone else just get an alert on their Royal app that they need to complete muster in the next 30 minutes? Am I supposed to be on a ship right now??? 😏
  10. I was pretty sure that I knew what your kind of Foley meant, but I looked it up just to be sure. I'll take Greg's kind of foley instead. Wonder what kinds of ads I'll see now?
  11. I think Greg may have meant the drink board. You may have had a Painkiller waiting for you on Greg. Edit: Oops. Didn't see that you already replied.
  12. We rented a car. We didn't spend a lot of time hanging around the hotel and were constantly going somewhere. We also had 2 days of driving all over the island, so it made sense for us. You might be able to get away with Uber/Lyft on Maui or Oahu, but I'd verify that there are enough of them on the island you're going to. I'd especially worry that there's not enough demand on Kauai.
  13. Playmakers must be a nice addition to the SeaPlex. It doesn't exist on Quantum or Ovation. The only thing back there on those two ships is the Doghouse. We caught the tail end of one of the bumper car sessions, and we saw a few kids shooting baskets there once, but there was never anyone there otherwise. Seemed like a big waste of space. Wasn't there supposed to be a trapeze in the SeaPlex at one point?
  14. I was talking with our neighbors the other day. They moved here about a year ago. They were originally considering buying a house in a different neighborhood, but their realtor got a little freaked out about the house. Someone died there under potentially suspicious circumstances, with blood on the floor. Turns out it's the house where Captain Mark from Below Deck died. I don't watch the show and don't know him, but he was supposed to have been the first season captain??
  15. Fully agree with you and I'm sure they are abused. However, a friend reminded me that not all handicaps are visible, so you can't judge by watching someone walk a short distance into a store.
  16. I looked into the America the Beautiful senior lifetime pass but unfortunately, I'm not old enough yet. You must be 62 and I won't be 62 until June. I'll definitely get one later this year when I'm eligible. It looks like a great deal.
  17. Is this considered a full suite? I seem to remember it bouncing between a full suite and a junior suite when it first appeared.
