Thank you so much for taking us on your trip and especially for the pictures! You have brought back special memories of places visited and sparked ideas for more places to go. Safe traveling home.

For our April 4th Mariner cruise, Regent has us at Hilton Barcelona, Avinguda Diagonal. We have also stayed at Hotel Arts, right on the water, very contemporary, wonderful, wonderful staff, a Ritz Carlton property.

Last year our Voyager cruise docked at Kai Tak (the old air port), inconvenient and disappointing as I had always wanted to sail into the heart of beautiful Hong Kong harbor. But interesting to those of us who regularly flew into and out of Kai Tak, always exciting :). However we were told that Voyager on a previous cruise docked at Ocean Terminal. So, may vary by cruise and luck of the draw.

Even though ashore, still providing all of us with wonderful pictures! Thank you so much.

We feel the same as GOARMY and are thankful Regent has always taken safety seriously. I am happy to go through the muster drill and hope never to need what is learned.

Fond memories for us too! On a Mariner 2009 Panama Canal cruise, the lecturer was an amateur astronomer also, who gave a couple of wonderful star gazing talks on the darkened deck. This is still one of my favorite Regent memories.

Thank you so much for your wonderful commentary and pictures. I am wishing you the best for a safe return home.

Wes, thank you for the wonderful crew profiles. Friends ask us why we talk/promote Regent; maybe some of it is the competent staff that keep the ships running in such a low-key, safe classic style.
-
Wes, beautiful pictures. Glaciers are retreating? Has there been a lecture on effects of global warming in that part of the world? Thanks, Jan

To everyone posting about your cruise and pre cruise, thank you! Sorry to hear about the chocolates. We have always saved them to take home and had one whenever we were remembering a wonderful trip and missing Regent. On our Voyager Asian trip last year, they disappeared briefly and reappeared. Maybe that will happen again :). Jan

Have a wonderful trip! We were on Voyager in Asia last year. This thread brings back good travel memories. Love that Regent logo, especially up close! Jan

Can anyone tell me of you hear noise from the pool deck of you are staying on deck 10. We are on the Mariner crossing on April 4. Right now we are in center of deck 8 but was thinking of going up. Only deck 10 is left. Any advice
We were on Deck 10 on Mariner in 2014. Pool deck was directly above us. Yes, we heard chairs being moved, cleaning, etc. I would check what is directly above the suite you are considering. We did not do that and would not make the same mistake again. The noise was not constant and we had a great time anyhow! We are on the April 4 cruise also.

Grandmommy, Pocket doors divide the living area from bedroom in the PH suites on Explorer. We do not use bath tubs frequently so loved the large walk-in shower. We also really liked the veranda, many evenings enjoyed with appetizers and friends.

Thank you for the laundry team profile. When we have laundry done on Regent we always feel so special when it is returned to us beautifully finished. We have never experienced anything but perfect service. Thank you to the laundry crew, you will be seeing our laundry in April!

Just finished your blog. Really enjoyed it! Thank you.

Crisy, enjoying the pictures! Flowers from your tour today are beautiful. My husband and I really liked the chocolate soufflé picture—a favorite Regent dessert :) Jan & David

Enjoyed your reports from Voyager last year, so looking forward to reports from precruise tours and the Mariner cruise itself. Thank you!

crusin7, enjoy reading your posts and seeing pictures, keep them coming! Thank you.

I agree with Sheila. We did this cruise on the Mariner in 2014, timing was a few weeks later. I remember being surprised how chilly it was in Malaga and Barcelona, but our layers worked. Have a wonderful trip! We board Mariner on April 4.

Isn't net years World Cruise on the Mariner or it is 2020? Obviously the Mariner will handle the seas much better than the Navigator.
2020 is Mariner. Have been gently “promoting” it to my DH as Mariner is our favorite ship and it will be close to our 50th wedding anniversary. Still have some work to do :). I am also looking forward to following blogs/posts of this year’s cruise. Thank you to all who take the time to share your adventures with us!

We’ll be right up the hall from you. We’re very excited for our first Regent cruise!

Wonderful! We look forward to meeting you too. Jan & David, 923

We are taking this cruise. I agree with the previous posts that there is plenty to do. I would add that various fitness classes will be available. The bonus to this cruise will be enjoying the newly refurbished Mariner, fresh out of dry dock!
