If you have some time, could you ask and find out who is onboard for the Circle Australia voyage that starts on Dec 15, when you debark. I know that Ray is going to be CD and Micheal is GM.
Thanks,
J
We would like to know this also. Thanks, Jan

Yes & Yes. Enjoy your cruise!

Wes, et al—looking forward to everyone’s reports and following your journey. We board Mariner in Sydney for the Circumnavigation, so have a good trip and take good care of her! We were on the TA, right after dry dock, had a great trip, looking forward to Australia. Know Regent will make good, safe decisions about the hurricane. Wishing all of you fair winds and following seas. Jan & Dave

I think he is now with Holland America. I seem to have read that somewhere but can’t remember exactly.
Just googled him. He is with Holland America
Prinsendam through December 2018. He was our first Regent captain on Voyager in 2003.

Doesn’t Gold level include laundry?
I believe it is one bag per 7 days.

After TA on Mariner in April, there was a Global Entry line in Miami.

I, too, thought it was another tooth mishap :). Congratulations! So glad you are enjoying the Regent experience.

We're really looking forward to this - and have previously suggested on comment cards it would be great. If the weather is warm and you've been on a long excursion, a few drinks and a quick dinner by the pool would be bliss.
Agree totally! It will be a perfect option on our Australian Circumnavigation.

Our experiences have been positive. On our last cruise we dined with the HR officer. Discussion topics went from methods of training crew from many, many countries, to information about the Crew Fund, to ideas concerning philanthropy. The evening was very interesting and enjoyable.

Enjoyed your blog immensely, read every one. Thank you!

Thank you for your reports. We have friends on your cruise, who are definitely enjoying themselves. Bless your hearts!

Thank you, Pirouette, for this thread. I am enjoying the comments compared to Regent. Enjoy your cruise!

Hooray! Hooray! Ahhh, that crunchy delicious bread, avoiding it is a small sacrifice for all the other wonderful food still there for you to enjoy. Wishing you a wonderful journey.

Happy to see my fellow Greenvillian posting again! And, I also wish more guests would take the time to add their suite information. It only takes a couple of minutes.

Bill, sorry for the tempest in the teapot. I eventually figured out there were sheets for each deck, and my info is there, #829. My apologies.
I was kind of disappointed to see so few reviews of standard cabins, since I may be booking one any day now, in fact I have 746 on hold. But I have taken advice from my TA on this, so I feel better.
Thanks for doing all this work, and maybe we can encourage folks to comment on lowly G's and H's more often.
Wendy, if you are asking about 746 on Mariner, we have it reserved for the Australia Circumnavigation, Dec.-Jan. Trip was booked late and our TA said it was a good option. I will send Bill the spreadsheet information when we return and am happy to answer any questions. Jan

On Mariner in April, tea in Horizon, trivia in Observation with Mensa answers announced immediately after trivia. I thought it worked well.

Word has it that Sheila received her baggage yesterday--just in time for disembarkation in a couple of days. She's been a real trouper about it all!
The blog is updated through Norway. This entry is mostly photos. https://summertimechilling.blogspot.com/2018/08/words-fail-norway.html
Enjoying your blog! We will be doing the North Cape/Norway segment next summer. Your pictures increase our enthusiasm, thank you.

Thank you all for your replies. Through our excellent TA we have planned tours for each day that will allow us to attend the NYE Regent party, if we wish, and to use what time we have on 1/1 before leaving Bali.

These are basically all the reasons we chose Regent when we decided to start cruising.
Sent from my iPad using Forums
Us too, and we feel fortunate to be able to thoroughly enjoy Regent!

In May 2018 it was the Westin on via Veneto, not far from the Spanish Steps. Very good hotel, we enjoyed the excellent room although breakfast in the ballroom was not the best.
We also stayed at the Westin in 2016 before an Explorer cruise. Large rooms, convenient also to the Borghese gardens. I agree about breakfast in the ballroom.

I can give you a recommendation www.balicharterbus.com Ketut is who you want to ask for. We have used him for 10 years (we had a house in Bali) He has picked up many friends of ours and given them tours whilst they were in port. He has good English and is very reliable. Just mention that Ibu Karen recommended him. He can give you a tour of anything you want to see or can make suggestions for you. If you have other passengers who want to join you just let him know. He has cars and buses so can take as few or as many guests as you want.
I hope this helps. Also New Years eve for us is not a big deal for the Balinese so it should be no problem to arrange a tour.
Thank you, Clarky! I will follow up on this.

Duplicate post, sorry! Internet problems this am.

No tours offered for this day. Will many places be closed? We would like to plan something independently for the morning. Mariner is to depart at 3 pm.

We toured both sites privately. They are not to be missed. Barcelona is a favorite place! Enjoy your cruise!
