A beautiful and bright sunny day in Madeira, and mild temperatures near 70. a great day to go out and enjoy Madeira. Hopefully the crossing will be just as nice as today. Everything else is going just fine. We ate in LaTerazza last night. We were dressed formally too. We were in the back , so didn’t see the people not dressed apparently. Glad to hear it was enforced.

Check your TK reservations. Seabourn deleted min
fdnycruiser replied to CLOU's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
CLOU, coincidentally I happened to be checking my itinerary for my April TA on the Ovation. Like yourself, my TK reservations that had been made months ago were gone. I was able to make new ones on the same dates as originally booked, but at different times. -
Thank you !

Smooth sailing, and good times for those currently on the Dawn. We’ll be joining you in Lisbon next week for the crossing. BTW, did anyone got luggage tags in advance, or were they given at the pier ? We were sent our e ticket, but no tags for the luggage.

LOL ! My wife and I were talking about him a few weeks ago, and for the I’ve of me I couldn’t remember his name. Certainly didn’t forget the private pool

Checked with guest services on board. It has to be requested at least 96 hours before and approved by corporate, the shore agent, and ships security officer . Hope it works for you . It was a nice touch my Seabourn I thought .

I also should mention that we were given permission to bring our son on board in NYC . It was a beautiful night, and we had dinner together outside in Earth & Ocean .

We just got off the Quest this morning, and overall had a great cruise. The restaurant was open on the sea days, and we enjoyed the lunch there. Earth and Ocean for dinner was by far our favorite for dinner, after drinks in the observation bar. The dinners in the restaurant just seemed a little lackluster and tired.IMHO. A lot of new crew, but not really any serious flaws or indifferences that we observed. They really tried hard to provide a nice experience, which they did. Our cabin attendants did an amazing job. Here’s where the entire staff, from the Captain down to the people we never see excelled. We left NYC for Charleston SC on Monday afternoon in great weather. Unfortunately, due to what was to become Hurricane Nicole , the stop in Charleston was canceled. The Captain advised us that we would east, then south and go around the storm which we did. However, with a storm that size we still encountered almost 48 hours of waves of 20 feet or greater, and 70 mph winds. The waves would sometimes cover the entire window in the restaurant! The whole crew did an outstanding job working under such difficult and stressful conditions! They were simply amazing!

I’m happy to report that I’m presently on the Quest, and yes with lemons 🍋 too ! Service hasn’t been bad, and they are really trying hard to please. The MDR has been open on sea days .

BTW, we’ll be boarding tomorrow. We flew into Montreal, and the pre cruise transfer, and hotel all went flawlessly. Hopefully it continues tomorrow -

That’s definitely strange and annoying. You don’t want to miss the discount, so perhaps get something in writing that you can give your TA, and preserve the on board discount. -
Will Vicki still be on for the TA on December 3rd ?

If you do use the laundry bag, to maximize the amount you put in, roll all of your laundry. You’d be surprised how much fits

Canada Lifts Covid Restrictions at boarders

Thanks Nancy, I think it was a case of misinformation. The woman said, people were calling all morning. Probably pretty hectic, with hurricanes etc to deal with -

When I got the first letter this morning I called Seabourn to inquire about this. The woman that answered told me she had gotten quite a few calls and to hold as she checked on it. She said it was in error as stated in the apologetic letter. However, she did state that she believed masks were coming back. Has anyone else heard this ? -

Definitely good news ! We board the Quest on the 26th. However, we did get the new booster the other day. -
You seem to be making the best of a bad situation. What are the odds this voyage would be altered due to a hurricane? I guess you just never know.

Thank you for taking the time to post your very balanced and unbiased review of the Quest. Many of us will be sailing on this itinerary in the weeks ahead, and are very interested in how things are going. We’ve been on Regent, Silversea and Seabourn in the 9 months with some hits and misses .
