Hey Rumbalow, welcome to CC. At the top of this forum you can find some 'sticky/pinned' threads. One talks about S class ships and rooms. They give exactly the information you are looking for from people who have stayed in those rooms. Even if your room isn't listed, I think you will be able to answer your questions. My daughter is a little more adventurous like me. When our family would cruise on Carnival they have that menu area something like "have you ever" and it was fun to pick a couple of dishes and then share. I can't remember many of the items, but I believe there was tongue and ox tail. She was in here early teens and now at 28 she is still adventurous.

As my wonderful wife and I get ready to set sail in a few days, I started thinking of how a lot of energy in our early cruises was spent worrying if we will "fit in." Don't be like Mike, you be you. Trust this semi-old guy, almost everybody is going to be into doing their own thing, and not thinking about you. If you do come across someone that does not play nice, smile and walk away. Even a 'small' ship is huge, there are lots of places to make a day home. And I can almost guarantee you that when other passengers find out that this is your first cruise, they will love to share all of their wisdom. Cruising is so different from most of our lives, it can be hard to make the leap. Just know the cruise lines want you to have a great time so you come back again and again, so they make it easy for you to have a good time. You will be fine, it's your vacation, have fun.

Well I had two quotes that I wanted to comment on and somehow poof, gone. One quote was you @Jim_Iain saying that you are afraid that you are becoming a whiner. I disagree with you, if being open and honest makes one a whiner, than color me a whiner. I believe that so many people live through you and lain on these trips and also learn SO MUCH from you two. As others have said, I have no idea how you can do these wonderful extensive trip reports and still have time to enjoy your vacation. But - I sure love them. Your generosity knows no bounds.

I'm going to have to step up my vodka game, I just don't notice much of a difference. Now I have noticed that some vodka treats me better the next day than others.

My wife and I can relate. We grew up in Wisconsin, you know the state that for every church there are five/ten bars. So when we moved to Maryland, just outside DC we couldn't believe how hard it was to find a local bar. It seemed that it was all night clubs that charged an entrance fee, and clubs were/are not our thing. We did eventually find a place that turned out to be a biker bar, FWIW very nice customers and extremely polite. Thanks JIM!!! Looking forward to your next adventures.

I wouldn't know if it was a "special" link, because I didn't click on it. I believe the link was just going to direct me to the same page that I had tried a dozen times before. Like I said, I was putting off calling because off all of the negative reviews, that when she came on in two minutes I was shocked. And how efficient she was very refreshing.

I feel like her name was Mariam or something close. I was so surprised when she picked up I kind of lost her name.

I have had an issue with trying to use the website to reenter my DW's information (it got deleted) and every time I tried I got an error. So last week I got an email asking me to use this link (yea that's gonna work) or call this 800 number so we can add her to the manifest. So yesterday I call fearing for the worst based on others experiences. I would say that I got through to a human in 2-3 minutes, FYI I called Celebrity at 5pm Central. The customer service rep was wonderful. We got my wife's information in, along with both of our CC #'s that also got deleted. Once we got done with that she asked if I needed anything else (I wished I did because I felt it would be fixed quickly) and I said no I believe that is it. She then said she would send me an email with the new information, and she did. The call itself took five minutes. My only complaint at all, is the audio gymnastics you have to put up with for all of their voice prompts from their phone system. From loud to way too loud. Anyway, I thought I would share good and I hope others are also finding the customer phone service better than it has been.

Thank you @whogo! As I take all of this wonderful advice and do more research, I am coming to the conclusion that it would be too long and too many days away for us to make all of it work. We might just end up doing a portion in Iceland and some in Ireland and figuring out the order based on the cost of air to fly home. Thank you again for all for your help, we will have to do a TA another day.
