  1. Technically it isn’t even considered a day. Day 7 of a cruise is the day before you disembark?
  2. This is exactly what I expected. Glad it worked out well.
  3. You don’t even have to use an app depending. With Verizon you can enable wifi calling and just call like normal (cellular turned off) and it uses wifi. Skype is quite easy to use for wifi calling.
  4. Also check your spouses wallet. I sometimes put my wife’s license in my wallet for convenience.
  5. If you get the ships internet you should be able to call home via varying apps or even through wifi calling depending on your carrier and plan.
  6. This is a good back up plan unless your phone gets lost with your other stuff. Years back the recommended approach was to email all of this to yourself so it could retrieved anywhere you could access your email. Not sure if that is deemed too much of a security hazard now, but the point remains it is wise to have such back up stay accessible from anywhere and not just your own phone.
  7. Respectfully, guest services is probably going to provide zero help here. Half of them don’t even know many Royals policies let alone federal customs protocols for a lost ID. I wouldn’t trust any advice from them on this one bit nor would I expect them to give advice. now they may allow you to call customs to ask. But the OP could probably do that on their own. Basically, I doubt it is Royals place to give guidance on a customs issue unless there is clear and standard protocols. And if there were such protocols, they would be easy to find online. I’m quite certain this is going to be a enhance questioning situation at most. It may be nothing if they don’t ask for it. This situation is probably common in total numbers.
  8. I think you need to specify your question a bit. What exactly are you trying to do?
  9. Exactly. I never said otherwise. They boarded with a BC and DL. This implies they didn’t bring a passport. If you don’t have a passport, a photo ID would be be required. Maybe it won’t be asked for, but if it is, that is the whole point of the post. You asked why they would need a DL. The reason is because they don’t have an ID now (ie. they didn’t bring a passport and an ID and BC is technically needed).
  10. I doubt it will take that much extra time. I wouldn’t stress about it because it isn’t gonna change what happens.
  11. Because they didn’t bring a passport. BC and ID are technically required otherwise.
  12. Of course. Didn’t mean to imply making them. Just to make sure they see it. You know your kids and their interests. Mine are itching to be big enough to do it and I’ve been on oasis class many times and can’t tell you how many teen/preteen age I’ve seen day after day on the flowrider. I just mention it because besides kids club, it is the one thing on that ship that Ive experienced with kids wanting to do all cruise long if possible. Stuff like mini golf is fun, but not something they want to do all week every day. Again, depends on their interests obviously. Have a great cruise.
  13. But onboard I’m guess they could add the additional person.
  14. Sounds like quite a ride. I can’t imagine going down that shoot in the middle of a real emergency at night. Scary I’m sure. Looked like a long slide (5 decks high I assume).
  15. Feel free to bring your kids. The concierge loved our kids on Allure. The bar is in the middle of it all. It’s no big deal to be near it. My advice is eat breakfast in the CK every day unless you need to eat and go quickly. The breakfast there is great and there are so many great options for the kids. If they don’t like something, your waiter will bring something else quickly. But breakfast is great in the CK. Pro tip, the lounge side has a buffet area. Grab fruit cups etc for the kiddos to eat while they wait.
  16. I’m sure they can seat 9 together in most or all venues. You may have to be a little flexible on your times to get it however.
  17. Selling soap they give you in the suites. SMH. I won’t complain about their upgraded soaps, but who the heck is buying them creating such a market? Of course, the other funny question is who are the folks selling them?
  18. You’ll get an email from the concierge about 4-7 days before your cruise. If you plan to eat in the CK (suite restaurant) reply to the email and ask for your reservation times. Use the concierge if you need something. They can help with a lot of things like show and dinner reservations or even a key replacement. Also, the SL bar is fee beer and wine (a limited menu) from 11-11 and open bar for mixed drinks 3 hours from about 5-8 (varies by ship). The SL is a beautiful space on Allure. Also, nice coffee machine in the SL for espressos, etc.. Enjoy. Sky class is a nice experience. Allure is a great ship.
  19. They are no longer stocked. Royal stopped doing this several years ago.
  20. Wonder how much of that is the blow up boats? The figure that show how to get on those looks a slide straight down (seem on the oasis class jogging tracks). No idea if or how they would deploy those for regular passengers. Always assumed those were for crew. Would seem folks pass a certain age couldn’t really do what is needed to even board those? Maybe I don’t quite understand how they are deployed though.
  21. No. Same rate if they price matched a TA offer too. Which they don’t, but the OP hopefully understands what I’m saying. Regardless, what I mentioned would get them exactly what they were hoping for which is a next cruise obc plus a TA offer.
  22. No. But you can transfer you booking to a TA after (with a certain amount of time). Same result if done quickly.
  23. Just have them do it once. It is addicting if that type of thing interests them. It really is a blast and I can’t wait until my daughter is tall enough. She is so close.
  24. Yes. If they are comfortable sharing a bed, it will probably be fine. You could possibly request a rollaway bed if it was an issue. Not sure on that. GS should allow 4.
