  1. Oops, I didn't catch the fine print in the 2013 brochures. The three Salerno dates are listed in the 2013 brochure as "Naples (tours from Salerno), Italy ". So it does appear now they were all originally planned to be calls to Salerno. The other three calls to Naples I cited above are just listed as "Naples, Italy" in the 2013 brochure.
  2. I first learned about most of the 2023 dress code and theme schedules (after the world voyages) being posted in My Cunard during late November last year.
  3. That's a good thought. The 2013 Cunard brochure has Naples listed for QE on those three dates, so it does appear to be a change that was made after the itineraries were originally published in the printed brochure. I do have calls to Naples documented on 15 Oct 2013, 20 Nov 2013 and 2 Dec 2013 which are as published in the brochure.
  4. Somewhat oddly to my thinking anyway, the only calls to Salerno I have documented for the current Cunard fleet are three calls by Queen Elizabeth, all during 2013. Those calls were 11 Sep 2013, 17 Oct 2013 and 8 Nov 2013.
  5. I am going to recuse myself from identifying you latest photo, @Lanky Lad, since I believe I was also on board on that occasion and have some similar photos of that event.
  6. Yes, indeed. My webcam captures are very recent (from this afternoon Bilbao time). I presume @exlondoner's photo is almost as recent from the current QV cruise.
  7. Perhaps more importantly, you probably don't have a UK Cunard World Club number either. There are separate Cunard World Club systems for the UK, North America and Australia/New Zealand. Even if you were able to create a login on the Cunard UK site, you wouldn't get anywhere trying to associate it with a North American Cunard World Club number.
  8. I won't give away the location, but I'll add these webcam images which I believe are showing the same location which indeed is not Dorset.
  9. Now is a good time to post an updated honor roll listing all those who have contributed 50 or more posts to this amazing thread. It's been almost a year since I posted the last one and we have a new member to add now. @NE John's recent post was his 50th post here earning him a spot on our list. Since the previous roll call I posted last August, @sfred has passed 600 posts, @exlondoner and @Colin_Cameron have each passed 300 posts, and @sogne has passed 100 posts. @sogne is the big mover on our latest list, moving up from 11th to 8th place. Well done everyone. Let's see how much longer we can keep this thread going with additional contributions even if they are only different perspectives on ports we've already seen. Only 149 more posts needed to reach 5000 total posts. 10. I'm familiar with the excellent YouTube video about a Caronia World Voyage from the 1950's titled "CUNARD LINES RMS CARONIA WORLD CRUISE PROMOTIONAL FILM 1950s 71302". That one includes a South Atlantic call at Tristan da Cunha rather than St Helena. Is there a different video I've missed showing a call at St Helena? I'd love to see that one too. By the way, Tristan da Cunha is on our unseen ports list, just in case anyone has a photo of that location to share here.
  11. Very good. Looks like we have another port we can move from our unseen to seen ports lists. At least two Cunard ships have called at Ceuta in the past. @Colin_Cameron, you reported a call by Vistafjord and I found a call by Caronia on 9 October 1967.
  12. Yes, since 2018 there has been a gap of anywhere from 6 to 17 days between the date the schedules were announced and the date they were available to book. The first date they are available to book is usually reserved for past passengers (Cunard World Club members). The following day they are available for all customers to book.
  13. Traditionally the summer/autumn itineraries have been announced during early to mid September. The Covid shutdown caused significant delays to those announcement dates the past few years. Here are the announcemant dates the past several years. Summer/Autumn voyage schedule announcement dates 2024: Announced Nov 29, 2022 2023: Announced Jan 18, 2022 2022: Announced Nov 5, 2020 2021: Announced Sep 17, 2019 2020: Announced Sep 13, 2018 2019: Announced Sep 5, 2017 2018: Announced Sep 6, 2016 One hopeful sign that Cunard might be getting back to their typical announcement schedule is that the 2025 World/Exotic itineraries were announced in early March this year. That's the timeframe for when those itineraries were typically announced pre-Covid. Perhaps we can expect the remaining 2025 itineraries to be announced sometime next month.
  14. I have three apps CruiseMapper, VesselFinder and MarineTraffic installed on my phone. I've been know to pay $0.99 for 24 hours of satelitte tracking information on the MarineTraffic app on occassion when there's some particular reason I want to track one of the ships that's out of terrestrial tracking range.
  15. I'm going to guess this one is Honningsvåg, Norway. It was a tender port for QV (in her pre-2017 configuration) in your post #289. And this photo is a reasonable match to one of the Honningsvåg cruise piers as seen on google street view.
  16. Traditionally the summer/autumn itineraries two years hence have been announced during early to mid September. Covid caused significant disruptions to those announcement dates the past few years. The announcements of the 2022 through 2024 summer/autumn itineraries were delayed anywhere from early November to mid January. One hopeful sign that Cunard might be getting back to a more typical announcement schedule is that they announced the 2025 World/Exotic itineraries in early March this year. That's back to when those itineraries were typically announced pre-Covid. So perhaps we can expect the rest of the 2025 itineraries to be announced sometime next month. For 2026, we can probably anticipate the winter/spring itineraries to be announced in March 2024 and the summer/autumn itineraries to be announced in September 2024.
  17. @WoorimBeachLady, did you find this on the Cunard UK website (at https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/stateroom-upgrade which is accessible from Australia/New Zealand)? Or have you managed to find it somewhere on the Cunard website for Australia/New Zealand (at www.cunard.com/en-au/...)? I haven't been able to find it anywhere on the '/en-au/' site although I suppose I just might not be looking in the right place.
  18. I don't know if the Cunard Upgrade program applies to Australia yet. I don't see any mention of it on the Cunard Australia website. The pages for the Cunard Upgrade program are found on the Cunard US and UK websites at "www.cunard.com/en-us/stateroom-upgrade" and "www.cunard.com/en-gb/stateroom-upgrade" respectively. I don't see a corresponding "/en-au/" page. I suppose it could be in a different location on the Cunard Australia site although a search for "Upgrade" on the Cunard Australia site does not produce any relevant hits. The terms and conditions for the Cunard Upgrade program found on the Cunard US and UK websites state the following. "The period in which you can submit an upgrade offer is called the “offer period”. The offer period starts eighty (80) days before the advertised departure for your voyage."
  19. I can't offer any advise as to whether Cunard will be increasing the prices of their drinks packages. I can tell you when Cunard first introduced their drinks packages in August 2018, the Beers, Wines & Spirits package was priced at $69 per person per day. Since then they have only increased the price to $70 if you purchase in advance. I believe that $1 price increase corresponded with the resumption of service a couple years ago. The current price for the Beers, Wines & Spirits package increases to $75 per person per day if you purchase the package on board instead of purchasing it in advance. If you do wait to purchase on board, you have the option to skip the first (partial) day and purchase on the second day instead. And you can use OBC if you wait to purchase on board which can be useful if you happen to have a large amount of OBC to spend.
  20. From the OP's posting history, they embarked 3 August. That would be the 3-night cruise Kiel to Southampton, V320C, 3 August-6 August 2023.
  21. I don't think you actually have 72 hours to decide if you want to accept the upgrade according to the terms and conditions that apply in the US for upgrade offers submitted on or after July 13, 2023. They do state "All payments must be made within 72 hours (3 days) of us notifying you that your upgrade offer is accepted...". But these additional paragraphs in the terms and conditions for the US Cunard Upgrade program indicate payment for the upgrade is automatic if your offer is accepted. "8.1. If your upgrade offer is accepted we will immediately and automatically collect payment from you using the credit or debit card details you provided when making your upgrade offer." "9.3. If we attempt to collect payment from you using any credit or debit card details that you provide to us and these payments are declined, we may (but are not required to) contact you to arrange an alternative method of payment. If we are unable to contact you in a reasonable time, or, if we decide it is necessary for us to allocate the upgraded stateroom to another guest, we will inform you by email that our acceptance of your upgrade offer is withdrawn. In these circumstances, we will allocate you a new stateroom in the same grade as your stateroom and you will not be entitled to travel in the upgraded stateroom. Any stateroom we allocate to you will be an equal or higher grade to your stateroom but may not be the same stateroom you originally booked or which was first assigned to you."
  22. Right. You may have noticed this item from the information @Solent Richard posted. "Will Diamond members be able to dine in this restaurant rather than Steakhouse at the Verandah?" The answer for all four of Tramonto, Aranya, Aji Wa and Sir Samuel's is this. "Further information on Cunard World Club benefits will be shared at a later date." Edit to add: Sorry, I think I misinterpreted your post as it related to getting your favorite main from Aji Wa in QG, not whether you could dine in Aji Wa using your Diamond benefit. My mistake.
  23. Thanks for that. There are four different renders for the Golden Lion Pub in your attachment. I'll post them here since I've only seen one or two of them posted elsewhere so far.
  24. The stated terms and conditions for the Cunard Upgrade program are different between the US and the UK. From the Cunard UK website, one of the stated eligibility requirements is • you have booked directly with Cunard The equivalent eligibility requirement listed on the Cunard US website is simply • you have booked a fare that qualifies for the Cunard Upgrade program I reside in the US and I also received an upgrade offer email for my upcoming voyage even though I booked through a travel agent.
