  1. A friend of mine lives near Port Canaveral, he's says Oasis 3 and Explorer are homeporting from there in 2015. Work is scheduled on PC to accommodate Oasis 3.

Yeah, Oasis III is scheduled for 2016. ;)

Did he say whether EXPLORER will be homeported there year-round??

Hopefully than she does not offer the boring 3-4-night itineraries which Enchantment currently offers!!

  2. I asuume, CELEBRITY REFLECTION; SILHOUETTE; ECLIPSE; EQUINOX will all return to the mediterranean area and offer the cruises to Greece and Turkey...

CONSTELLATION; INFINITY; ECLISPE are already listed in some European ports for 2015...

But there are several new questions for me, when ALLURE comes to Europe:

It seems she will replace LIBERTY and ANTHEM might replace INDEPENDENCE.

Where could those both ships sail than???

SERENADE is scheduled for Norway in 2015 to replace LEGEND.

Unteil 2014, SERENADE offers the 12-night-med-cruises from Barcelona (and some from Civitavecchia?.

Which ship could operate on these itineraries than, when SERENADE is in Norway?

I assume it could be EXPLORER.

BRILLIANCE is scheduled for Northern Europe also - she seems to offer the same Baltic and Norway/Iceland cruises in 2015 as in 2014... :)

  3. I believe someone said Navigator calls on St. Maarten every other week in summer 2015 - which means she will no longer be home ported in Galveston and may replace Allure in Ft. Lauderdale.

    Or Independence may be staying

Yes, I've found the schedule for St. Maarten and there I could see Navigator very often in summer 2015!

Allure is listed every Thursday in Civitavecchia/Rome - from 06:00 am - 08:00 pm!!

What could Liberty do than??

  4. I have read in these threads that when the Voyager goes into drydock (2014) a retractable roof will be added in the solarium pool, so for this reason Voyager could head to Alaska.

Very interesting - that sounds logical!! Thank you! :):):)

Maybe Voyager replaces Rhapsody - because among all ships visiting Alaska out of Seattle, Rhapsody is reasonably one of the oldest and the smallest - I think RCI needs a larger ship to compete with the other companies! :)

  5. I do not think that such a huge ship like Anthem sails to Alaska... maybe a Voyager-class-ship... could it be that Explorer sails to Alaska or is she also too large for that region?

Anthem should call ports which can handle the ships large - only ports in Europe and the Caribbean can handle such ships...:)

  6. Oasis III from Southampton?? Sounds interesting!!

But, to be honest, I cannot really remember that such a great ship goes on 14-night-cruises- also many ports cannot handle the large ship... ;) or the port capacities will be enlarged until 2016, when Oasis III debutes...

Anthem from Southampton would make more sense than from Barcelona - as already written, it's better for the english speaking nations! :D

  7. So as long as we are speculating here what does everyone think of the Allure possibly spending the summer in Europe in 2015 after her dry dock in the spring.

RCI tested the water with the Oasis in the fall of 2014 after her dry dock and judging by the prices she commanded in Europe it looks like the demand was there just not the right season for her to spend a longer amount of time.

Allure could sail Europe for the summer with Anthem as well, that would possibly free up the Indy to take Allures place in FLL for the summer.

Whatever happens it will be interesting next spring once all the schedules get released.

Allure should have her dry dock schedule in 2015 - so I think she might do the Europe itineraries in 2015 which Oasis does in 2014...

But I think she won't sail the 7-night Western med out of Barcelona which Liberty does currently - if Allure did it, some ports couldn't be visited - for example, Villefranche, because you have to tender there - so the nicest port on the itinerary would be missed...

Liberty should also offer this itinerary in 2015... ;)

  8. It would make sense, because the british market is very important for RCI...

But for me it wouldn't matter whether Anthem or Independence sails from Southampton - I think on both ships you'll have a great cruise experience... :)

More important for me is that Serenade of the Seas sails out of Hamburg in August 2015! :D

  9. I'm not sure why Anthem has been replaced by Independence on the calendar but I wouldn't hold much faith that it was to cover something up. We found St. Maarten listings months before Quantum was announced. Those even listed a ship number rather than name for a while because it was so early. Royal Caribbean never made them remove those so I don't see why this would be any different. It very well could be that Royal is still thinking of how to use Quantum and Independence together and really have swapped some plans between the 2 ships if they are both sailing from Southampton.

I think they only have replaced Anthem by Independence because RCI does not want that many people know hat Anthem sails out of Southampton until RCI has announced anything... ;)

But QUANTUM from Southampton I do not think so... I think she will be based year-round in Cape Liberty...;)

But if Anthem sails out of Southampton, let's see what happens to Independence...

  10. They may have changed it because this week RCCL UK announced there will be 100 redundancies in their UK office, so perhaps they didn't want to rub salt in wounds or perhaps they are peeved that the news of Anthem sailing from Southampton got out before they were ready to announce it ?

Could be like that - I think RCI does not want that it's known that Anthem comes to Europe until RCI has announced any official news. ;)
