During our May 6 Equinox cruise we were automatically charged 18% gratuity in Tuscan Grill. Is this happening on other ships?

So stupid not to say this was on Equinox from Port Everglades. Sorry. I was reading some current Equinox threads and had EQ on my mind.

We debarked on May 21 and were advised by Retreat Concierge that the current group of Back 2 Back cruisers were not going to be required to test in order to continue their cruise. Can anyone currently doing the May 21 back to back confirm that no testing was required on May 21, please? We were b2b May 6 and May 15. We were taken into the terminal on May 15 and tested there. We were sent back to the ship after the tests before results were available. Told we would get results in an hour or so. Obviously, we were negative and continued our cruises. However, I found this to be a very unsatisfactory way to handle testing versus the previous cruises where b2b were tested the day BEFORE debarkation.

There will be visual verification at the pier. No problem. We do not use the app for check in and pier side goes very smoothly since we all now have assigned check in times.

Jamie, I know you like Z at the World Class Bar. She is there now. She came on the day before we debarked on last Saturday, May 21.

We were also on this cruise. The Suite Concierge, Laura, told us that there were 2135 pax on board. There were certainly more pax on board than when we sailed last Sept. That cruise was at about 45% capacity. We had a wonderful time with all the great staff who served and interacted with us. There was a lack of Decoy cabernet in some venues, but Luminae could always supply. After showing our card once, maybe twice, all venues simply asked to confirm your stateroom. Great bartender, Isaiah, at the World Class bar. Very personable. Our room steward, Jose, was just outstanding. We were greeted by several staff members who recalled us from the Sept. cruise. Always amazed that they can do that!

I also got the the "vodka" advise on a back stage tour on an RCI ship several years ago. Tried it once just to see if it worked. Yes, it did. But it only removes the odor. Doesn't actually clean anything.

We debarked from Equinox yesterday from a b2b. We were told by the Suite Concierges that as of yesterday, no test will be required for b2b pax. However, this was for a ship sailing from Florida. Don't know if this will apply to ships sailing from foreign ports.

Today for back to back no test required on Equinox! I know RCI dropped this earlier this week. Any other cruise lines yet?

There are a couple of large gaps in Equinox's 2023 summer schedule. Nothing between June 24 and July 8 and then nothing else in July until July 30. Seems all regular schedule during August. Any clues about where she is for these missing weeks?

Is Nadja still concierge on some ship, please? She was on Liberty for several years many years ago. Then she was on either Mariner or Navigator for some time. She was wonderful.
