  1. The positive lab test must be 10-90 days prior to the cruise. Sounds like your partner won’t be able to cruise unless they test negative between this coming Friday and Sunday.
  2. I would advise bringing an extension cord to make sure the cord on your CPAP machine reaches the power outlet. Especially in older ships, there is usually only one outlet, on the desk.
  3. Maybe it will be different in Europe, but when I was recently on the Pride TA the internet was unreliable and was down for two days solid.
  4. If you have few things that you really want ironed, you can send then out for “iron only.” They charge per piece, but it’s less than if you had them washed and ironed.
  5. No irons in the cabins. Some ships have irons available in the laundry rooms, but they’re not allowed in cabins.
  6. I’m very sorry this happened to you and you had to miss your long-awaited cruise. I hope you can get a refund from Carnival or your travel insurance.

  8. If you book a non-ES , you can reprice to ES anytime. That’s no problem. And after you have ES, you can reprice to any other ES fare that comes available up to 2 days prior to sailing. The problem that has come up recently is when people want to reprice ES to a non-ES fare (such as resident’s rate) they are allowed to do that, but then they are no longer ES and can’t reprice anymore after final payment. That started happening this spring when lots of resident’s rates came out.
  9. You mention that the scooter is foldable. The only way I see this working is if the scooter folds small enough to fit under one of the beds at night. Carnival requires that the scooter be able to fit through a 22” door, and their rules/regulations say the scooter MAY be measured before boarding to be sure it fits through the door, and if not, boarding may be denied.
  10. Carnival makes it very clear that scooters cannot be stored in the hallways or other public areas of the ship. They have to be in the cabin.
  11. One issue is that once you do a price match to a non-early saver rate, you’re done. No more price matches. That’s something to consider with the cruise being 18 months away. If you book the $2800 Early Saver and then price match to the $2300 Summer Sale, that’s it. Your price would be locked in at $2300. It used to be “once early saver, always early saver,” but not anymore.
  12. I believe you also need to upload proof of vaccination to ArriveCan. That can be done in advance of the 72 hour window.
  13. That’s worth a try, but I don’t think Carnival allows courtesy holds on cruises sailing in less than a week.
  14. Have you tried emailing, texting and calling your PVP? Is so and no contact has been made, I would suggest calling Carnival’s main number, 1-800-764-7419 and waiting on hold to speak with a representative. Good luck!
  15. You’re correct. I was thinking of the Mexican Riviera cruises out of Long Beach. The Mexican ports visited on Caribbean cruises would be included in the “no doctor’s note required.”
  16. This only applies to Caribbean sailings, so not to Alaska, Mexico, Europe, TA’s, etc.
