  1. I would like to take the fixed wing tour on Oct l - website states that I will have to take taxi or uber - pain to try to book one a head of time. States only a five minute drive. Thar fact makes me reluctant. Anyone on this board has had this problem - solution??
  2. My Sept Radiance cruise to Hawaii only has (just recently) three very expensive excursions, Phoned today and basically got that they don't know when more will be listed!!!
  3. Hopefully before Sept cruise from Vancouver!!
  4. I hope that Covid is not running high? If that is the case the industry will close down again.

    Excursions

I;m on this cruise also. Has anyone done the fixed wing tour (Wings over Kauai) ? There is a roll call for this cruise but not really active - think it will be after excursions are posted. Maybe we can even register for Meet and Mingle. Was told that not to except excursions listed until 3 months out!!!
  6. I have never seen a reduced solo rates in my years of cruising but I wait for discount for second person - have got one as high as 60% off for second person so I pay 140% . No hassle.
  7. The cruise price I find is less with a group rate and with a refundable deposit it's the best way to go. Booking solo I pay more anyway so any savings is a bonus.
  8. Our sailing has not had excursions posted - told the 90 day rule. Have cruised for many years and never had problem booking early. Don't understand why some sailing long after ours have access to excursions!!
  9. Yes - the type used for boats and RVs systems breaks up better than the multi ply supersoft type. Ever notice workman having to unplug the system - they work in little cupboards in the hallways.
  10. I have sailed solo for a number of years. I find a table of 8 provides a good mix usually - if not after a night or two ask for a table change. Last cruise someone on roll organized a table of 12. Also provided familiar faces that you met up again on excursions or bar or wherever on ship. Don't mind windjammer for breakfast or lunch but find it "lonely" for dinner.
