  1. OK. Yes, you are considered "up to date" for your vaccinations and are able to test 3 days prior to the cruise. You were eligible for the booster and received it. There is no timing requirement for the booster. The 14 day requirement is for the 2nd dose of the original vaccination series, not the booster (read "required doses").
  2. Thanks for the update! I'm glad he's doing so well. Is it your brother's first cruise? If so, he may be underestimating the amount of strength it takes simply to get around on the ship. He may want to consider (1) using wheelchair assistance for boarding and/or (2) renting a wheelchair for the trip, just in case he should feel as though he needs it. The only have a couple of wheelchairs on board for emergency use.
  3. Regarding the actual port name, I agree with Jamman54, post in the port of call sections. For tendered (sorry ... "water shuttle") ports, those should be identified in your itinerary as requiring a water shuttle.
  4. There is no requirement to play all of it. I have, on occasion, loaded much more than I played and then cashed out (almost always from OBC, cruise cash, or gift cards). Just don't do it for too much or too often and no one will care. The casino cannot see how you funded your account, just that it came from your S&S (until Carnival figures out how to fix that).
  5. 1) Yes, the remaining OBC and cruise cash will be credited to your S&S account at the time of boarding. 2) Funds are used in this order: Non-refundable funds (non-refundable OBC and cruise cash), then gift cards, then refundable OBC, then cash/credit cards. 3) You will not be able to use cruise cash pre-cruise, since you can cancel your order for it and be refunded prior to the cruise. 4) Yes, you can use any type of funding in your S&S account to fund your player's bank. You can then cash out your player's bank at any time during or at the end of the week. 5) If you have remaining non-refundable OBC or cruise cash, you will lose it. 6) Yes, you can cancel cruise cash just like any other Fun Shops purchase prior to the cruise and receive a refund.
  6. Short answer is that yes, they will be Diamond at the beginning of that cruise. I have never known Carnival to not do that, regardless of what the website says (at it's discretion).
  7. I just checked the prohibited items list and was very surprised to see that scissors are actually on there! I've always been led to believe that small scissors (like for needlepoint or grooming) were acceptable.
  8. Your Time Dining refers to your "timed" selection for the main dining room. You will check in on the HUB app each day when you are ready to go the dining room (it's like a virtual check in line). All other paid and included dining options are available to you as well.
  9. We can't just default to "have them be a no-show" because that is not always the right answer 🙂 Most insurances will, if cancelling for a covered reason, also cover their travel partner's single supplement. That's why I asked the questions above.
  10. From Carnival's Covid FAQ's https://www.carnival.com/Legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-guest-protocols?icid=advisory_cruisehealth_040122 Back-to-back guests traveling on another Carnival Cruise Line ship within one day of disembarking their first voyage should inform onboard Guest Services in advance so they can receive the required pre-travel COVID-19 test before they disembark. Guests must present their negative test results upon arrival at the cruise terminal for their next voyage. Back-to-back guests traveling on another Carnival Cruise Line ship within 2-7 days of when they disembark their first voyage should present proof of their previous cruise to the health screening staff at check-in so they can receive the required pre-travel COVID-19 test at the cruise terminal. The test will be offered on a complimentary basis to vaccinated guests and included in the US$60 (for guests ages 5-11) and $150 (for guests age 12 and older) testing and reporting fee assessed to unvaccinated guests.
  11. I'm afraid that we simply need more information to help you. How close are you to your final payment date? Why can't the other person go? Is it a covered reason or are they considering filing for "cancel for any reason" coverage? What insurance do they have? Does this insurance provide for their travel partner as far as covering the single supplement if they cancel?
