  1. I’m so glad to hear all the good comments! We have this excursion booked for Reflection April 2024 😊
  2. This is true! I just checked outa 2025 Beyond sailing I was interested in, and no SV cabins showed as available. ☹️
  3. Ah! My bad. I rechecked, and yes, I was looking at total price for YC for 2 starts at $6400 total, I think that’s still more than I would want to spend for MSC.
  4. My dummy booking was Aurea. Maybe I looked at it wrong, and Yacht Club was $6,000 total for 2 of us. I’ll have to check again.
  5. I’ve just realized that the OP for the topic I mentioned, posted an update topic for MSC/Celebrity comparison. The responses are mostly for Yacht Club. I’m interested in non-Yacht Club suite opinions.
  6. I am a dedicated Celebrity cruiser, but a recent thread about Carnival after Celebrity segued into an MSC discussion, and it piqued my interest in exploring MSC. I looked at the site to investigate. Searched April 2025, just for comparison, we are booked on Reflection April 2024. Yacht club would be more than I want to spend, starting at $3200 per person for a 7 day Caribbean, MSC World out of Miami. However, a junior suite, midship deck 9 ( their lowest level suite) with drinks and Wi-Fi included, would be $3558 total for 2 people, which is less than what we are paying for a concierge hump cabin deck 10 on Reflection. Also, the deposit was only $398, and is refundable! I’d love to hear from those of you who have cruised both, who did a lower level suite with MSC. I kind of doubt I’ll ever jump ship from my beloved Celebrity, but this does sound like a good deal.
  7. Maybe check with Celebrity or your travel agent. My mother and I stayed in a celebrity suite on Reflection several years ago, and had the bed separated.
  8. The more I read about E class, the more it confirms that E class is not for me. Sticking with S class 💯
  9. Just making sure that is ok. I booked our 2024 cruise with select dining, because I want the flexibilty of dining whenever we feel like it, no reservation. Then I saw on the Celebrity app for my select dining that reservations are required. I panicked slightly when I saw that. I’ve read everywhere that NO reservations are required. Can you confirm that? Since my cruise is so far out, I was easily able to make 7:00 reservations for each night, just to be safe, but my preference would be to just cancel those now, and go with the original plan to walk in anytime. I don’t mind waiting for a while for a table.
  10. S class for me! I’m not interested at all in trying an IV. I would consider SV on Edge class, but for now, I’m staying with Reflection.
  11. Roughly, what is cost of Uber/Lyft from hotel to Port Everglades? We will probably be at Hampton Inn. They offer shuttle, but I have heard it is more expensive than Uber.
  12. Hand sanitizer does not work well against norovirus. Good old fashioned soap and water are the best option.
  13. Call early! I had to call Celebrity this morning to change my stateroom for a future cruise. I called at 8:00 a.m. EST, and the wait was 2 minutes.
