  1. That looks very nice Perhaps youā€™re enjoying the view as you navigate the Solent, perhaps youā€™re having a drinkie before dinner, perhaps youā€™re already dining? Whatever - enjoy it all
  2. There must be a lot of pot-luck I phoned at 2 today, not expecting much and got through straight away after making my choice from the options menu. I was amazed!
  3. Delgirl - your update sounds heartening. Good luck to you and your husband. I wish you much happy time together Iā€™ve no news or anything important to say except Bon Voyage to those boarding today. I know of Sharon, Dave and Sarah, there are probably others Iā€™ve missed. Smooth seas and sunshine to you all
  4. Hope this works! https://www.pocruises.com/onboard-activities/dining/main-restaurant
  5. We were overtaken on a paved pedestrian trail yesterday by an old guy on a mobility scooter with his two dogs On the back, among other items such as a Ukraine flag was a ā€˜number plateā€™ with HARDLY DAVIDSON šŸ™‚ Have a wonderful, relaxing, hitch-free cruise Sarah. Your first cruise is a very special time
  6. Food porn alert! šŸ™‚ We had a lovely lunch, sitting outside in the sun Starters Turbot cerviche (final pic - canā€™t get the correct order šŸ™„) Portland crab remoulade Main Skate with paprika & chorizo Two (yes, 2!) whole megrim sole with chilli & burnt lime preserve Pudding (not for me) Lemon curd cheesecake with chocolate & raspberry ice cream Pics

  8. Old Rooms Inn Weather has been a bit iffy. Had some grand thunder and lightning
  9. Take care not to shock your kitchen equipment šŸ™‚
  10. Have you seen this lovely map, produced in the1950s to help Polish airmen. All the places with phonetic spelling! Like the guy on Catchphrase used to say ā€œJust say what you seeā€
  11. ā€¦ and the more people push at the boundaries or game the system, the more likely the company is to bring in a total clampdown. The policy used to be even more relaxed but social media etc proclaimed ā€œBring what you like. It doesnā€™t matter. Youā€™ll get away with itā€. Idiots turned up with packs and packs of beer etc - clampdown followed imo the current policy is nicely relaxed. Bring your special bottle but donā€™t try to cheat to save a tenner. You may ruin it for everyone The OP wasnā€™t even asking about bringing alcohol onboard anyway! šŸ™‚
  12. Amazing thunder and lightning last night - right on bedtime, so sleep was delayed. Luckily slept a little later than usual this morning. Fortunately our dog takes no notice. Iā€™ve had fearful rescues in the past who have turned to shivering wrecks. Rescue Remedy can help, to a degree. Get a few drops on their gums or even rub it in to bare skin on their ears Talking of sleep, I thought Iā€™d mention my weighted blanket, which Iā€™ll credit for turning my sleep problems right around. I can pretty much guarantee 6+ hours of solid sleep every night. I got it at the start of the year, so itā€™s taken about 3 or 4 months for me to feel sleep-confident Iā€™m also a little heartened at recent research/report saying 7 hours is actually better than 8 and much better than 9. (I wouldnā€™t enjoy that height thing either)
  13. Weā€™ve been at the coast for a week and the change we see in the countryside since weā€™ve been back is amazing. Spring had sprung and everything was green before we left but I think May is competing with June and is truly šŸŽ¶ bursting out all over šŸŽ¶ The horse chestnuts are real show-offs Talking of which - apologies for that unintended pic of my new avatar. šŸ–•Posted in error when I intended to post the missing cat. I thought I had deleted it, but obviously hadnā€™t. Durrr šŸ™„ Anyway - the url will take you to the website if you want to make one for yourself.
  14. Oh, blimmin heck Dennis Waterman dead at 74 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-61372712 Feels like heā€™s been around for ever, from Just William as a child star, through The Sweeny and Minder, right up to New Tricks šŸ™ Carpe diem everyone
