  1. Sorry, but I have to laugh at your continued assumptions concerning my motives. Quite frankly being unselfish had nothing to do with me getting vaccinated. I believe in the vaccines and my motives were purely selfish - I did it to protect myself, (and possibly a little unselfishness popped in because I also wanted to protect my husband.) Apparently you haven't been following my posts because I have never said anything about masking. While I do think pre cruise testing has become pointless, my biggest concern is being quarantined and not being allowed to stay in my cabin - with a balcony. Yes, I'm very selfish when it comes to that and I'm not sure I want to risk the possibility of that happening.
  2. Really? It's amazing how you jump to a conclusion without knowing me. FYI - I had my first Pfizer jab in March 2021 and the second shot 3 weeks later. Since then I have had 2 boosters. My objections to what is currently going on with protocols has absolutely nothing to do with being vaccinated.
  3. I retired on Friday, March, 13th, 2020 - just when Covid was starting. I fortunately took a cruise in Feb, 2020 and I'm so happy about that, but I had two other cruises booked in 2020 that were either canceled with a full refund or L&S. I'll be 72 in July, but I'll be darned if I will be held hostage by what I consider to be unnecessary protocols in order to cruise. Like it or not, I may not cruise again unless rules change.
  4. Oh boy - sounds like what I've always wanted to do on my next cruise.
  5. I've ordered the Chops steak in the MDR several times and it has always been great. My husband and I are light eaters and usually find there is just too much food in any specialty restaurant and it's not worth the extra $'s for us to go.
  6. Sorry, But I disagree - that would be a biggie for me. Totally ridiculous to be quarantined for a sinus infection.
  7. I'm seriously starting to have second thoughts concerning my October Allure cruise that was originally booked in the fall of 2019 and has been changed 3X. I can quarantine a couple of weeks prior to departure in order to be sure I test negative, jump through all of the hoops, and still end up with a crappy vacation if my husband or I pick Covid up either between testing and departure or on the ship. Let me stay in my cabin with my balcony and I might feel differently, but I'm really not sure I'm willing to take a chance that my vacation will be ruined once on board. (Fully vaxxed with 2 boosters.)
  8. I did a 14 day RT to Hawaii during Thanksgiving and there were only a few kids, but I would imagine a shorter Caribbean cruise would have considerably more.
