I also disembark in Barcelona. Afterwards will spend about a week between Paris and the UK before flying home. Happy with those plans, but.... Just now imagining what could have been a more extended holiday by reboarding Serenade in Southampton for a B2B of Ultimate Denmark, Germany & Sweden + Norweigian Fjords. Could have used those 16 days between Barcelona and Southampton to independently travel to Paris and the UK. But like you, too late to make changes - my flight home is already booked. Oh well, still happy with the four mini segments I've booked. 😀

I'll be doing four sailings - Athens to Barcelona. Excited to sample that part of the world for the first time 🙂

Thanks for sharing pictures and insights into Serenade getting prepared for the UWC. It has been an interesting read.

At least on Ovation the light above the bathroom sink partially stays on. But in terms of Serenade and nightlights, recently I saw a photo online somewhere showing a light installed near the wardrobe or something that illuminates the floor outside the bathroom door. It'll be great if all rooms will get this lighting update. I may still pack a little USB nightlight for the small portion of the UWC that I'll be onboard for, though.... (If I don't forget).

The price of the mini segments seems to have risen significantly recently. Out of curiosity I went to check what the 9-night Rome to Barcelona mini segment would cost and surprisingly this is over half as much as what I paid for 35 nights (three mini segments between Athens and Rome). @John&LaLa Interesting about the USB! Having just last month done a B2B across Ovation then Radiance, USB ports were very much missed on the second ship. So a big plus if Serenade will have USB ports! 😀 Thanks for sharing.

Hi, as other posters have answered the reduced deposit and OBC are from booking at nextcruise onboard - for an oceanview category room. Lucky to have grabbed the same room on all three mini segments and on deck 4 😀. By the way the next cruise consultant I booked with claims that balcony rooms are not all 'sold out' but are being reserved for full WC / expedition segments only.

Thanks! Though I was wanting to apply the 10% off with nextcruise reduced deposit and OBC 😁 - which nextcruise consultant said we can combine these two, but only with a full WCer's booking number.

Hi John&LaLa, currently onboard Ovation and NextCruise won't honour the 10% discount for mini segments without a world cruise booking number from a family or 'friend' 😕. Has anyone had any luck on other ships? Not sure if it is just Ovation requiring an existing world cruise booking number to combine NextCruise and WC F&F 10%.
