  1. Time for my dumb question... Are the laundry perks per person or per cabin? 3 bags on a 7 day, ok....if we are both platinum, do we each get 3 bags?
  2. We just swapped the 30-day for the 22-day Brisbane to Seattle, going through the So. Pacific Islands
  3. Did y'all book air yet? I am flying out of Orlando and got one stop to Perth for about $1800 pp on Emirates...and their economy is nice I then checked Orlando to Brisbane BNE, and it was same thing, one stop, $1800 pp If you can get to Orlando or not, check into the Mideast Airlines, like Emirates Buy some gold bars during the layover
  4. OK I think some folks are pretty broad with the term "luggage" LOL
  5. I just want to say they're being pretty broad with the term "luggage."
  6. I am still but a lowly gold, Sire. I know nothing of these "P&D" things of which you speak. *sigh*
  7. One more thing on tipping... If you don't give me a receipt, you don't get a tip. I don't drink alcohol, but I get a Pepsi or water bottle, and many times they don't give me a receipt, and if I don't get a receipt, I have no way to tip
  8. I say hello to our cabin steward $20 on day one while introducing ourselves and letting him/her know of any special needs, like ice. IMO, I don't really care how they tell you they're distributing tips, I believe they're pooling them. All stews are pooled, the bars and drink waiters are pooled, spa is pooled, etc... Room stew is the most hands on and hand in, my stuff. I am nice to them up front. I have also never had an issue that wasn't resolved swiftly, day or night.
  9. We moved up a year ago from Merritt Island, before that, we lived in South Florida, we're both natives. This will be our first time in Seattle, probably stay a day or two to visit. Going to visit Perth, AU for a week before the cruise, then fly to Brisbane, not sure how much Seattle time we'll have.
  10. I just was wondering, maybe there's no public trash cans to keep people from throwing away bar glasses?
  11. When I heard it, I was aware and I also paid attention, but I did not get up and run around Chibang like my hair was on fire. No one in the Chibang crew seemed concerned, why should I be? Same when flying, if the FA is calm, it's all good. I was sleeping during one other, my wife was being woo'd into a crazy expensive ring by the giant head guy
  12. I heard the fire announcement on "Deck zero, locker 17," on the final night Other than the medical issues, that's the only one I heard, but maybe I was a sleep?
  13. Hello, wife and I got off Celebration yesterday (1/29 sailing) and while on board decided to swap the 30 day Trans-Pac for the 22-day. This will be our first trans-oceanic voyage and 30 days seemed a long time, not to mention her brother lives in Perth, Aus, so we must visit, you know? So, toss in a week and the whole thing becomes 45 days to 2 months after a day or two here and day or two there. So we'll fly from Orlando to Perth FIRST, then to Brisbane and then on board and then a visit of Seattle....see? Whew....Better pack a lunch... I am curious about the "Journeys" component of the cruise, what lectures or education courses... I am Dave, Wife is Zoe We live in Daytona Beach
  14. and they do measure with a jig and I did not see any "heavy pouring" I would watch them make other drinks while I would wait for my beverage.
