  1. I believe all have now been replaced by a World Bar, same place different name, new drinks menu.

No , they have not all been replaced - several other threads attest to this . The Molecular Bar is in place on Reflection still and offering just 6 drinks it seems.

  2. Apparently all the fan-fare about the World Class Bar was much a do about nothing . Posts here confirm that the rollout has not happened on most ships - Reflection has a sadly depleted Molecular Bar still - Celebrity have dropped the ball on this.:(

  3. I just got off the Reflection and the changeover is not until Oct or Nov. the Molecular has a much smaller menu until the changeover.

    Hi Lady-Tans-a-lot

Thanks for the heads up -- can you remember what drinks were available at the Molecular Bar ?

  4. That bar is gone on every ship. It's replaced by the World Bar. Drinks not nearly as good as Mo Bar, IMHO.

That may not be the case . I have been asking about Reflection on several threads after reading this on July 20 .

"Just off Reflection and as of 20th July still a depleted and empty Molecular Bar ."

Does anyone have un update about The World Class Bar on Reflection ?

  5. I am interested in wines by the glass that are covered under premium pkg.

Lots of posts and threads here on CC -- all amount to the fact that the wine by the glass selection with the Premium Beverage Package is limited and mediocre at best. I may have used the description -- dismal, pathetic, woeful , deplorable , scungy , etc in the past , and I stand by that description when you see whats on offer for wine by the glass in the PREMIUM beverage package.:(

  6. You should try and rationalize the Cost / Value equation when you have Australian Dollars  We have 3 upcoming Celebrity cruises and the final payment looms big , bigger , biggest . We will be looking at land based holidays as our dollar falls and suspect that many Aussies will do the same . Cruising , when you add 30% plus to the rate makes it a hard sell for us.:(

  7. Just off Reflection and as of 20th July still a depleted and empty Molecular Bar:(

Thanks for the update - that is sad news indeed . We are on Reflection in September and will be extremely disappointed it it offers a depleted Molecular Bar after all the Huff And Puff about the World Class Bar .

  8. Aussie dollar down to .73 US cents now , so cruising for us @ US Dollar prices will be a struggle . We lose approx 4 cents on any exchange rate conversion also so we get about .69 cents value . Good for our local tourist industry as most we know will prefer to spend their hard earned here rather than get such dismal exchange rates .:(

  9. We have found a half day sail from the Santorini Old Port that will take us out for a swim and drop us at Amoudi / Oia docks. I wonder if the hike up to Oia is as exhausting as to Fira from below ... Has anyone arrived at Oia by boat and found any transport up to Oia township ? The dodgy knees would struggle with the walk up.

  10. I know that Fira's climb to the top is hard, and that we can find local boats that serves between Fira and Oia docks. I wonder if the hike to Oia is as exhausting as to Fira... Has anyone arrived at Oia by boat and done the climb?

We would be interested in this also . We are being droppoed off at Oia Port - Amoudi , and need to get up to Oia town . Does anyone know if there is transport up or must we hike it ?:(

  11. .....of the cellar masters wine list; published by Arno on his Reflection trip earlier this year.

If anyone has any other info on wine/wine lists for any of the Celebrity ships, please post here. And yes, the Foley Pinot is Santa Rita Hills. Definitely a nice wine, but bordering on the sweet side for my taste.

I've seen the classic package wine list and as another poster declared, there isn't a pinot in sight. I have no idea what is included in the premium package for pinots.

I have now packed my two bottles: a Sonoma Coast and a Santa Lucia Pinot. Those will get me through four days, as I will be traveling without DH and will be drinking alone.

Last time I cruised without DH I could have stretched a bottle for three days, but by day three it wasn't tasting all that great even though I brought my stoppers and wine pump.

Good move bringing the Pinot yourself . You will be disappointed in the Pinot offered that is included in the Premium Package - from memory the entry level Kendall Jackson (?) or similar ? You can pay the upcharge to improve the quality ... but thats another story.:(

  12. The great thing about the premium package is the ability to get some great wines for just a couple of bucks.. Ie Foley vineyards Pinot noir will sell for 18.00 per glass, ,minus the premium 13.00, you get one of the premiere pinots in California for the 5.00 difference. As you can tell, we do enjoy some CA wines....

Hi , Can you tell me which Foley Pinot -- ( hoping its not the Rita Hills?)
