  1. Sometimes they will pay airline change fees, but I don't recall seeing that offered in this case.

Hey Clarea - we are on the ship. For anyone wondering; seas are calm, captain is keeping us informed. Will stop in Costa Maya tomorrow and Cozumel (again) Monday for refueling and provisions. Expected to return Wednesday at 6:15 am.

Extending drink packages at 50%, laundry 50% and have added entertainment.

They will also have to give Everyone new sea pass cards on Sunday for the extended sea days.

Many folks fly out from Jamaica yesterday so ship is very quiet and kinda nice [emoji4]

  2. Well good to see they are making preperations for avoiding the huricane. The entertaining part is all those people who lost their heads over changing St Thomas to San Jaun, now they have all three ports changed, cant wait to see the thread of crying babies mad a Royal for this even though its not something anyone can control.

Rude - changing a port due to mechanical and changing an itinerary due to weather are completely different.

Why come here and poke the bear.....

  3. This is currently a cat 3 will be a cat 4 by Tuesday. The only speculation is what Track it will take, but it's real.

Royal won't say or know anything until Sat/Sun part of that is because weather is unpredictable but also because people won't have an opportunity to cancel - they don't want a ship half full.

The ship will steer away from the hurricane where we go is the question.

    It's a mystery cruise for 9/3 sailing

  4. So after a nice dinner at 150 Central Park, and a drink or two or four at the Jazz Club, I stopped into on the marijuana-scented restrooms. (Seriously, am I the ONLY one who has noticed that smell?)

    THE MAGICAL TOILETS OF ALLURE

Anyway, I have a bad track record of cell phones on cruises. Those of you who remember by Independence of the Seas review will remember that my phone was "lost" (ahem) while on Labadee. Miraculously, it was "found" after I offered the Labadee steel drum band $200 as a reward. MAJOR EYEROLL...

And this time? Well, I headed into the bathroom and when I went to flush, I saw - my iPhone in the toilet. Oh, no! What is it with me and iPhones while on a cruise? The worst part is -and I'm sorry for being graphic but I've been honest up until this point, so - I don't know if the phone fell in before or after I peed. :o

So I hesitated for about .1 second and then stuck my hand right in there and pulled it out. At the sink, I washed it with soap and water (because, the pee! Egads!). And here is the miracle of all miracles - it kept right on working. And no, I don't have an Otterbox or some other waterproof case. I just have a cute, slim, non-protective Kate Spade case on it which serves no purpose other than to look good. (To me an Otterbox case is like orthotic shoes for your iPhone. I wouldn't be caught dead with either!)

So...are the toilets on Allure magic? I guess so. Another close call with the phone, another victory for me!

Thank goodness for Kate Spade, protective and CUTE!

  5. We cruise in suite cabins; in January did the royal family suite with two bedrooms two baths it was perfect for us as a family of four. We have done the royal suite just the two of us and the Jr Suite coming up on the Allure in Sept (first time in a Jr).

I enjoy the extra space larger balcony and access to the concierge to book shows, dinner etc (don't have that with a JR)

  6. Front rows closest to beach go first then they start filling the second row etc. might as well get a full day in here..it's beautiful for swimming and snorkeling. Hungry....take a short stroll along the beach to Shipwreck for lunch although beers at Carambola were only 6 for $15 ( last Friday 2/17).

We've been to St Kitts and loved shipwreck, are you saying we can walk to shipwreck from Carambola? We are thinking of spending the day here, how long of a taxi ride would you say it is?
