  1. Front rows closest to beach go first then they start filling the second row etc. might as well get a full day in here..it's beautiful for swimming and snorkeling. Hungry....take a short stroll along the beach to Shipwreck for lunch although beers at Carambola were only 6 for $15 ( last Friday 2/17).

We've been to St Kitts and loved shipwreck, are you saying we can walk to shipwreck from Carambola? We are thinking of spending the day here, how long of a taxi ride would you say it is?

  2. That lounge is called the Suite Lounge, not the Concierge Lounge. It may only be an insignificant change of name to suite guests, but it's a significant change for Diamond Plus level C&A members, who are no longer allowed access.

    Thanks - great information.

I'm. It thrilled that we'll have to go from deck 8 to 17 fir the suite lounge but I'll survive [emoji3]

  3. Ate at Giovannis's last night and it was great, bought the first night deal on the RCI web site for 15 buck a person. . had lunch at Solarium Bistro which becomes the Samba Grille at night. While there they tried to sell us the dining package and then found out we were booked to eat there. After a discussion of the group ( 7 people) we decided we wanted to eat at Giovannis's

BTW with the $15 frist night you only can go to one of those two places to eat.

Went to Giovannis's and made a res. for 6 pm and the meal was great. Had the steak and picked 3 pastas to share for the table. ALL of the food was DELICIOUS.

Will be doing the MTD tonight so I will get back to you.

We have a Boardwalk inside balcony. It nice but a have to say a bit small, but hey we are really only in the room to get ready and sleep. so far so good.

Great info thanks - we loved Giovanni's on the navigator and will be sure to try it again.

Our friends have the inside Central Park balcony - they're excited about that

Thanks for the info - love following you on your journey

  4. We feel the exact opposite and very much enjoy the Solarium Bistro on Oasis. :)

As it stands now, not having been on Oasis yet, I would go for Allure just because of the brazilian churrascaria in Samba Grill (The Solarium) in the evening. That was a lot of tasty meat! :-) Other than that the two ships appear to be more or less the same.

OK - now I am confused - is there a restaurant at the Solarium? That is our favorite spot, I could stay there for an entire cruise ;)

  5. We loved our Jr. Suite last week on the Oasis! It was roomy enough for my friend and me, and the balcony accommodated 5 of us for get-togethers.

Coastal Kitchen for dinner was okay. They refused to allow my friend and me to bring a guest. We preferred the food in Chops and Giovanni's. Service was good in all restaurants.

    Enjoy your cruise!

    Thanks - very helpful

  6. CK does a wonderful dinner, service is excellent, and the venue is the best view of the ship. We were on the first cruise where CK had a different menu every night. They had some classic items every night and then a few different ones each night. We ate dinner there 3-4 times, Chops twice, and Giovanni's once.

We have done the Allure and Oasis, both times in a suite, and once you go Oasis class you will never go back. I guess it's really a matter of taste. But our first cruise on Oasis was a family gathering (read obligation) and DW and I went with the attitude we won't like it, it's to big and to crowded.

Well guess what? The second day we were planning the next Oasis class cruise with our children and grandchildren, which is now set for October. This last trip on the Allure it was just DW and I. We never left the ship.

Interesting - we just went to Allure and we like the itinerary better (St Thomas, St Kitts, Nassau) vs Oasis (Falmouth, Labadee, Cozumel) and it is 500 less than the Oasis for the same week in a Jr Suite....

I'm tempted to do Allure - we live in Florida (5 miles from PC) which is why we were thinking of Oasis

Such a tough choice - lol - life is difficult!

  7.

Thanks - great menu, is this included in the cost of the Jr Suite or is it an additional cost

I was just on with RCCL and it looks like a 1,800 difference in a balcony on deck six and a Jr Suite - the biggest perk for us is that Jr Suite would get us to Diamond regular balcony gets us at 78 points (just under diamond)

What are your thoughts .....I know you are a wealth of information on RCCL :)

  8. We are considering cruising the Oasis this summer - we are nine points away from Diamond and usually sail in a suite...On the Oasis is a Jr. Suite a good choice? Will we get double points for sailing in the Jr. Suite? I would love to do the crown loft suite but this is our summer trip and we normally don't break the bank for our summer trip :)

Anyone have advise or know if Jr. Suite is worth it or just go with a regular balcony

    Thanks

  9. Good morning !!!! We are sailing towards Bonaire [emoji1066], beautiful sunrise from our balcony! bfcce8f69c4b7bd1752c46dda5d0c6a9.jpg

Our luggage yesterday was in the floor, just had been left in the wrong cabin [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] about 20 cabins down the hall!

The drill was fast and simple.

MDR (Sapphire) is beautiful, service was good, the list of the appetizers was very interesting: we tried the escargots, the Watermelon soup ( very good but sadly served in a plastic cup [emoji45]) and a smoke fish dip, also delicious. Main course had Prime Ribs, good as well. My MIL and son had been assigned to a different table, but the problem was corrected right away and we were moved to a 4 seat table that I love ❤️.

I have not been able to explore the ship [emoji568] much yet looking forward to it today !

Ready to spend our first [emoji319] Christmas on the ocean ! b7f4cb7e7f99f10209464bd6869bad9a.jpg
