  1. OP, if you are comfortable leaving those tips, please continue to do so. It is not my business or anyone else's how much extra you leave above and beyond the automatic gratuities. I'm sure that every dollar is appreciated by the hard working crew.

  2. Yes, there is a buffet. Although I have only been on S class ships and cannot speak specifically to the Infinity, I imagine that the kids will be more than satisfied with the selection and quality of the offerings at the buffet.

  3. The Classic package seems pretty reasonable. Surely if the size has decreased in the coffee, just have two? We're looking to upgrade to Premium package - though it's very elusive to find out exactly what is offered in this package. I shall have fun trying though! :D
If size were the issue, that truly would be a simple solution. Unfortunately, my understanding is that some of the previous offerings, namely the Aspen coffee, are no longer available under the Classic package. Obviously, I will pay the difference. Just clarifying the point.

  4. I've been on a few cruises where people have done that. In that situation you can give it to your TA only at the time of booking. As mentioned earlier: You cannot transfer a booking to a TA after final payment date UNLESS you request that it be done when you book the cruise at Future Cruises. We often call our TA from the ship (courtesy call) to find out what they can give for the booking and if we like it go to Future Cruises to book the cruise using her name.
Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

  5. Boarded our Celebrity Cruise Ship yesterday. We have a Classics drink package but were pretty irritated to find that the drinks we were able to have on our last Celebrity Cruise have all been increased in price and are now more expensive than the Classics Drinks package limit. Last night we were repeatedly offered the opportunity to buy the Premium package or pay $1 plus service more for the drinks we really wanted.

In Cafe Al Bacio there are now only 2 coffees with alcohol included in the Classics package plus the drinks have decreased significantly in size. Probably about half the size of drinks last Cruise. Not impressed!!

Well, that would certainly be frustrating. Looking a little less forward to our next cruise now. [emoji20]

  6. You might have better luck with a response if you post on your roll call. We did a Celebrity tour a couple of years ago that covered many interesting sights and included a beverage while watching some dancers. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  7. I feel your pain while reading this thread and I hear what you are saying loud and clear. Not sure why some here feel the need to challenge you so strongly and go so far as to tell you to sail with someone else ... really.

I think sending a mailing to me (yes I got one too) who is booked and saying '20% off' excursions for your upcoming cruise is definitely deceiving. Yes others do this too but does that make it right? If the mailing was more clear in saying 'some excursions are 20% off' ... 'see if any for your sailing are on sale' ... that would be totally different and wouldn't feel so deceptive. And before anyone jumps on this please note I said FEEL deceptive which is based on perception and experience. I have grown to ignore most what Celebrity sends me now and consider it spam, even the stuff 'directed' to me for my booked cruise :)

Enjoy your cruise and hopefully one of the many 'sales' directly marketed to us actually apply to us :)

    Well said.

  8. I also feel that this was a very deceptive sale. There is an excursion for our January 2019 cruise that I have been eyeing. It was labeled with an "Up to 20% off" banner, however it was actually MORE expensive than the previous time I had checked. It has remained the more expensive price. Not much of a sale in my opinion.

  9. Yes, OBC from your TA is refundable. We were able to withdraw some from guest services on our February 2017 cruise but it was not easy. I think that they are discontinuing this practice.
