  1. Agree that it's confusing! I went through the cruise planner link, and tried booking my excursion. There's a small horizontal line near the OBC amount with a slider dot on it. Slide it across to get to the amount of OBC that you want to use. Once I did this, the request for credit card information disappeared as OBC covered the excursion cost.
That didn't work for me. I tried several times.

  2. There is a country listed at the bottom of the screen that seemed to have a drop down but i couldn't get it to change. Driving me nuts at work because we have a US IP address. I can't get Canadian even when I'm logged in.

Maybe they don't want Canadian business anymore. My drop down menu states "United States" and nothing more. Not much of a drop down menu, is it? It's hard to believe that they came up with an even worse website. How is that even possible??

  3. Grandmannie7, What is a Spyder and from whom did you rent it?

I have to second the already recommended tours of Cosol's in St. Lucia and Bumpiing tours in Dominica. Both were unforgettable!

A Spyder is a motorcycle with 2 wheels on the front. Not sure if the company is still in business as they were changing hands and didn't have our reservation recorded. Since they had one available, we were able to rent it and toured the island on our own. DH was in his glory!

I also have to agree about Cosol tours on St Lucia. Absolutely amazing day!

  4. I have two:

    1) Calabaza in Barbados - a full day on a private catamaran on a picture perfect day that included swimming with turtles, snorkeling at a shipwreck, a fabulous homemade lunch, and unlimited rum punch.

    2) America's Cup Regatta Race in St. Maarten - another picture perfect day on the water. So fun to become a crew member for the day and race against another boat.

I also loved kayaking in the bio bay on a moonless night in San Juan.

Calabaza was definitely one of our favourites. Also, we rented a Spyder on St. Martin which was DH's favourite. In Ocho Rios, the Blue Hole and river tubing was fun. In Grand Cayman, swimming with the sting rays is a must. So many memorable days that it truly is difficult to choose. Have fun trying as many as you can!

  5. Internet prices are so expensive while cruising. I will just wait to get into ports, use free wifi or transfer my plan. In Canada we can bring our own plan that includes unlimited talk time, texting and data to all non-US Caribbean islands for only $10 a day or to any US Islands for $7 a day. For us this is by far the best alternative

May I ask what carrier this is with?

  6. As previously stated, they are offered occasionally. I don't think that Celebrity does them as well as some of the other cruise lines we have tried, but I do enjoy them.

  7. I find that roll calls for 7 day sailings much less active than for longer sailings. I assume that this is because most passengers are still working or have family obligations that keep them busier than those with the flexibility to take longer cruises. Not sure if this is the case in your situation.
