  1. Thank you so much for doing this review. I think you're the best of the best! I saw Pat briefly at the CC party and said to my DH "Where do we know that lady from?" and he had no idea because he doesn't follow CC. It wasn't until the next day that it dawned on me who she was and I did not see you or her the rest of the cruise! I regretted not having had the chance to come over to thank you for your awesome reviews.

  2. SHIP: Eclipse

    CABIN #: 2110

    DECK #: 12

    CLASS:C2

    AREA: Starboard Mid

    BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?:Yes. Never heard anything from adjacent cabins or Steward's closet. We could occasionally hear footsteps from above but nothing at all bothersome.

BALCONY VIEW: Completely unobstructed outwards, however, struts obstructed view to the rear and we could not see the front of the ship whatsoever.

BALCONY SIZE: Great! More than double a regular balcony.

    WIND A PROBLEM?: No

    SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Very handy location. A quick jaunt up the stairs to the Oceanview Cafe or the Hot Glass Show and a direct route down to the MDR. Pool is right there as well but no noise or disturbance from it at all.

  3. I have been following this review on and off when I had time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was very saddened to hear of your mother-in-law's sudden passing. My own mother passed suddenly and unexpectedly 2 days after our transatlantic cruise almost 8 years ago. I treasure each memory of those amazing 14 days together. I hope your memories, so beautifully chronicled, will ease the pain of your loss.

  4. Jeez people. What's wrong with someone liking lobster? (Regardless of which variety). The OP was just wondering which evening. Not "real" lobster? Right. [emoji849]. I personally look forward to the evening when lobster is served.

The beef Wellington sounds good too.

Absolutely "to each his own" , however, it is very disappointing if one is expecting Atlantic lobster, to have Bahamian lobster. It's good to have all the facts ahead of time to avoid disappointment throughout the cruise.

  5. I was there last week nd yes the 2nd evening chic night which is the 2nd last night of the cruise. Ours was the Labadee day

It is not real lobster .. just the warm water thing . I didn't bother ordering it because I live where we fish true cold water lobster. The beef wellington the same night is much better

    I do have to agree.

  6. As the previous poster said, there will be no tax billed to your account. The only additional charge would be if you ordered something that was over the limit covered by the package. You would then be charged the full amount of the beverage plus gratuity. We have never found it necessary to purchase anything over the limit. The package covers everything we enjoy and more!

  7. My wife and I biked Bonair couple years ago. Left port headed south saw some flamingos on edge of town then headed along shore past salt flalts and slave huts. Hardly any traffic at all. Went to lighthouse and back. nice flat ride but very warm bring water.

Thank you. This is the information that I was looking for. We have had to cancel this but will keep it in mind for the next visit to Bonaire.

  8. Not sure exactly what you are asking here. Yes, you get the discount but only once. If you purchase prior to your cruise, call X and have the discount applied. You will have it charged to a credit card. If you purchase on board, the discount will be applied and you can use OBC if you have any.

  9. You can transfer a booking up to 60 days after making the booking. As far as should you, that is up to you. I prefer to transfer it to a TA that adds perks and discounts the price. A good TA will do both and take care of the paperwork for the transfer.

  10. You are correct in that it does not move you up in category just within the category. It does not negate other offers or perks. You pay for one and receive a level higher. You should be able to do this through any means of booking, however, you must request it and ensure you receive it. Enjoy!
