  1. Grandmaanne7 - Not only was lamb frequently on the mdr menu (including enormous lamb shanks one night) it was also prominently displayed at the buffet. There were grilled to order lamb chops, lamb stew and at the carving station a huge side of lamb. Have never seen so much lamb before. We did have sizeable French, German and English contingents aboard so this may have been for their benefit. At the buffet I also saw them carving two (for me) unique items, a whole salmon and a whole small pig.

Thanks Baron Barracuda! I had never enjoyed lamb before but risked it due to the favorable comments on CC. It was heavenly! And yes, the lamb shank was truly enormous. I did my very best not to leave a morsel.

  2. Thanks for all these various opinions. It is helpful to have comparison. I am especially glad to read about the lamb on the menu. I fell in love with it on our Eclipse cruise last year and was so disappointed that it was almost invisible on our B2B on Reflection this year. I can look forward to it again next year on Eclipse. Unfortunately, we will miss Antigua and overnight in Aruba. Hopefully this will turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

  3. Have not been on Glory but have done 3 Carnival cruises and enjoyed each one. That said, if I had to choose between Carnival or Celebrity, I would go with Celebrity. The beverage package and the quiet sophisticated feel win me over. Enjoy whatever you choose.

  4. This November will be our first Celebrity Cruise and first cruise with a drink package. When I order a drink at a bar or restaurant, do I need to announce that I'm on the classic package? As in "I'd like a pina colado from the classic package"? Or do I just ask for the drink and then when the bartender runs my card he/she sees the package and doesn't run a charge slip?

Just order the drink. Your sea pass card indicates that you have the package. When the server swipes your card, it will just go through as a zero transaction. The only time you need to be concerned is if you are asked to sign something. This will mean that there is a charge. I also keep an eye on our account on the TV in our cabin to be sure that no mistaken charges have been made. A simple trip to guest services will correct any errors.

  5. We were on the Reflection last month and found that the staff were truly overwhelmed far too often. We speculated that perhaps many staff were ill. I certainly hope that this is not the new normal. It is difficult to relax and enjoy oneself, knowing that it is at someone else's expense.

  6. We commented on this on our recent Reflection cruise. We found that the staff in the bars and the Opus dining room were run off their feet! They were definitely understaffed. Most tried to be friendly and they were almost always smiling but it was obvious that there should have been more help.

  7. Seems like someone actually did something positive about this. The ads (for me at least) seem to only be at the end of each thread I click on. Still not wonderful but slightly less annoying than they were a few days ago.

  8. Can you expand a bit? What is it exactly? My first choice of what to do is already booked up for next February so I'm looking for something a little unusual to do on our day in Bonaire. Thanks.

  9. I've noticed it today. Ads seem to be showing almost on every page and pop up every few topics in the topics list.... [emoji849][emoji34]

    CABIN #: 1118

    DECK #: 10

    BALCONY VIEW: Unobstructed

BALCONY SIZE: Oversized (angled on the hump)

    WIND A PROBLEM?: No

    SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

  11. Contact Celebrity ahead of your cruise to let them know about the CPAP machine. They will provide you with an extension cord and distilled water. We have done this three times and they have accommodated us each time. Enjoy your cruise!

  12. Recently booked a cruise with no perks. TA gave us some OBC which we plan to use for tips. We are in traditional dining. Can I use the OBC for paying the tips?

Yes, the gratuities will show up on your account daily and the amount of OBC remaining will lessen by the equivalent amount.

  13. We just did a B2B on Reflection. The entertainment was exactly the same both weeks (with the exception of one comedian). We enjoyed the production shows so much that we went to all three of them both weeks! All four of us found them to be very good to excellent.
