  1. I imagine that having menus at outdoor venues would be difficult due to the risk of wind blowing them off tables especially during less than desirable weather. That being said, I have never had a problem getting any drink I requested. Bartenders are also happy to oblige to requests such as "Can I get something made with mango?" or "I'm in the mood for something minty."

  2. My take on the comments was that the entire Sunset Bar was smoke filled by the end of the week as ashtrays and smokers kept migrating into the non-smoking area. We will definitely keep an eye on this on our upcoming February cruise. The smoking policy is one of the things that we love about Celebrity. If this is not enforced, we will absolutely be bringing it to the attention of higher ups. We plan to spend quite a bit of time at the Sunset Bar and neither of us can stand smoke. It has never been an issue in the past and I hope that will continue.

  3. My prize arrived this week (I had previously received an email stating that it was sent on November 19th). Unfortunately, I will not find out what it is until I visit my Dad prior to our next cruise in February. Since I live in Canada and prizes can only be shipped to the US, I had my prize shipped to my Dad's. We always try to visit with him before or after a cruise. It's quite large apparently. I think Dad said it was 19 by 22 inches (yes he measured it before I even thought to ask) but pliable enough that it could be folded into his mailbox. It's like an early Christmas gift! :D:D

  4. I have to agree that it is an amazing cruise. We did it last year and will repeat it next year. It is the first time we will have done the same cruise twice. I enjoy Celebrity more than NCL however I definitely enjoyed our only NCL cruise. As previously noted, there should be few kids or teens on a 14 day cruise. Can't comment on any comparison to cruises local to Australia however I can confirm that the weather will be warm and water activities should be comfortable.

  5. We have had the Classic beverage package on our last two cruises and never needed to upgrade. I was able to order mudslides, daiquiries, appletinis etc. I would recommend trying it out for a day or two and then upgrade if necessary. As noted, this will be extremely easy to do.

  6. We currently have two cruises booked, both in CDN. One is with a Canadian TA and the other with an online US TA. We got great prices for both but the perks are far better with the American one. The key is to book onboard in CDN and transfer the booking within 60 days.

  7. We have found Celebrity staff to be most accommodating. If you have fixed dining let your waiter know about your daughter's dietary needs on the first night even though you have already informed Celebrity. If Select dining, inform the Maitre de as soon as you board. I'm sure she will be well looked after. Enjoy!

  8. We have thoroughly enjoyed Cafe Al Bacio on our cruises. Always had the Classic beverage package and have never been denied any beverage with it. Mudslides are my favorite there. Also Aspen coffee. (Definitely alcohol in that one )
