  1. Lamb shank! (I don't normally even eat lamb but I had read on CC how good it is so I decided to order it. It was so yummy that I ordered it again when it was available for lunch later in the cruise. Now I find myself daydreaming about it and anxious to have it on our next cruise. Is there something wrong with me????)
  2. Have you done a Google search? I have heard of one occasionally, but as free wifi is not a concern, haven't made note of it.

That being said, there will be plenty of signage to wifi locations, and the crew always knows. Either follow them, or ask them.

Yes I have done a search. There doesn't seem to be anything current. I'll do my best to piece together information from different sources. Thanks anyway.

  3. Very well rounded review.

We, too, have had the included Classic package on both of our previous Celebrity cruises and have never felt the need to upgrade. We were able to find wines that we liked with dinner and anything we wanted to drink during the day or night was available within the package. It definitely fits our needs.

  4. $6 was the difference to go to a guarnatee balcony from inside. The assigned cabin was then the s2. $6 that was it!

Wow! I hope we hit that jackpot one day. Congratulations to your friends!

  5. We were on the Eclipse in February. My DH is a large guy and commented that it was nice to have a shower that he fit in. I'm sure you will be fine. The glass doors are great as well so no shower curtain sticking to you as you shower. Enjoy!

  6. Am I correct in assuming there is a gratuity automatically added to all beverages if you are on the classic package. So you pay for the package, then they tack on gratuity of 18% or did I read the information incorrectly?

The gratuity is included in the price. You do not pay extra unless you wish to add an additional tip.

  7. I am boarding Reflection on Friday this week, I will aim to get as much info about this as I can, along with photos, and menus, I will post here, and on my blog, link below. Sounds interesting for sure!

Thanks very much Louise! Looking forward to your opinion and pictures. Enjoy your cruise!!

  8. guess I am the odd one out. Even though we love seafood I would hate to see the porch be $25.00 pp. I loved eating there when I was on the Silhouette. Making it so pricy adds another specialty restaurant fee, $5.00 was no worry but this is getting a little rich for my blood. Will wait and see how it goes, we are on the Reflection soon so will see for ourselves.

Please do post an update when you return. Would love some actual feedback or at least pictures of the menu/plates. Enjoy your cruise!

  9. Trying to figure out how this works. If you book onboard in CDN, do you have to pay the whole amount? I may not be getting this at all, but if you transfer a booking to a US TA, are they not going to want their price in US dollars, before they let you get their perks?

No, you do not have to pay the whole amount. Just a reduced deposit in CDN funds. The TA will honour the CDN price in CDN $. The perks you get are in US funds (OBC). Your credit card will be charged in CDN for both the deposit and the final payment. This is not a "con". (That's about the only hint I can think of that will be allowed on CC. ;)) Good luck!

  10. I have done quite a bit of research in the past' date=' but I never found a US agent who would let me book in Canadian funds.

I hope one day, I can find out who you use![/quote']

The easiest way to do this is to book onboard in CDN and then transfer to a US TA. This is most advantageous as well because you get all the perks of booking onboard and then the perks from the TA. You do need to shop around to get the best TA for you and sometimes you even need to be persistent and call more than once to get the right person. It took me some doing but now I have the right contact and have an upcoming cruise with the 123 promotion (obviously booked months ago) and $950 OBC! I am happy because I locked in at a reasonable (not amazing) price in CDN so I don't have to be concerned about the rise in cost as the dollar tumbles. The last cruise I booked in US $ cost considerably more by the time final payment arrived. That hurt! :( We do have a cruise that is booked with a Canadian TA so we are locked in at a good price (because we booked so long ago) but the extra OBC is almost nil. It will be hard to shop Canadian again when the US TAs are so generous with the OBC.
