  1. Just an FYI, I'll be booking this later rather than sooner. I still have to get a surgery date (which they'll give me at an appt this coming July 8). And, I really don't know how long this recovery is going to take. Some tell me a few weeks. Others tell me a few months. I feel like Peter Pan right now and don't know when or if I'll grow up.
  2. Just got a chuckle....just an observation! Went from this... "I'll be going back to Princess after this as I have cruised 4 times with them and have been upgraded each time for not alot of money. Norwegian upgrades are a scam, IMHO. It's ridiculous!" To this....about 48 hours later. "So I ended up getting upgraded to the Haven after facing penthouse with large balcony, this morning outta no where, super excited.....Super stoked!"
  3. I like that idea! See…you’re thoughtful. Me personally? As you well know, I’m good at it. I can whine with the best of them!
  4. If interested in seeing the Epic Haven, starting on page 16….
  5. Sailed in the HAVEN of all 3. Breakaway and Getaway Haven are identical (as are the ships, in general). Sailed Haven on the Epic last October. It's larger with nicer furnishings. It's been refurbished and is nicer than the -Away twins.
  6. Thanks. There was barely anyone there while I was hanging out with the exception of the Wedding Party I witnessed. Maybe an anomaly!
  7. Ask them what it depends on. FAS can be had on any category. They should be able to spell it out for you. If not, find another Travel Agent.
  8. Just as an FYI, I may have to do a "test cruise" prior to this one to make sure my new hip works correctly! 😉
  9. We can plan it…we’re all adults in here (aren’t we?)! No CC involvement required!
  10. The more I think about it, might be a fun adventure to go out of our comfort zone and do a Carnival Venezia cruise together........
  11. Quickly... -The Bow is visible on several decks on the ship.... -The Haven offers a premium cruising experience in service, food, cabin and convenience. It costs more because everything from the Restaurant to the Butlers to the Concierges are at your service. -Paying for the Haven is a choice, not a necessity on the ship. You can still enjoy MDRs, Buffets, free entertainment, bars...all over the ship without being in the Haven.
  12. I know I ran into a lady on my last Alaska cruise last year who brought 3 or 4 of those "Polaroid" type instant cameras on board. She had no issue with those passing through scanners. And yes, film cameras are still around, and you can still buy the film. Personally, I never had an issue when I used them and passed them through airport scanners, but that was 20 years ago.
  13. Just keep your eye on the fares of the cruise you want. Those will show any price rise or fall. Ignore the typical "sale" hype. Those are based on "brochure rates" which no one in their right minds would pay.
  14. Sounds like a plan. And yes, I'm very sad I won't be joining you. Next year? I hope!!!!! There's an outside chance I'll be recovered enough this year....late in the year, but not sure. If I book this year, it will probably be one of those @debenson0723 + @Sugar Magnolia specials where I see it, book it, leave the next week.
  15. Thanks. I’ll be fine. Came back from last week, had MRIs before I left. They want to do a hip replacement. Juggling surgery and recovery dates. I’ll be fine. Ain’t keeping me down for long!
  16. I’m Sapphire Latitudes on NCL. But am Diamond on Royal, Diamond on MSC, Elite in Celebrity and Gold on Carnival. I’ve sailed a lot. Obviously a lot in NCL, but not exclusively!
