Also on Celebrity retreat, once you are off the ship it’s goodbye Charley. On Haven disembarkation the Haven sends someone with you to the front of the line past 100s waiting at immigration.

The Have. Is better than the retreat ( we were on the Edge last winter in a Celebrity suite and a Royal suite. We didn’t like the menus in Luminae . The Haven has so many more perks. My favorite is the escort to shows.

The Sun supposedly has a real Suite restaurant like the NCL Haven or Celebrity Retreat. Princess was really falling behind

We just got off Emerald and are elite. We were in an upgraded reserve mini from a balcony. We got the early embarkation and early disembarkation but did not get the extra water. I traded our little Alcohol bottles for extra water. They charged us for laundry $42!. Otherwise the room was fine after I had the mattress replaced ( first night it was so bad I was in pain) and the sensors on the floor woke us up by turning on the lights when we used the restroom during the night. I missed the suites I had on the Regal and Sky. But loved the reserve dining. You will be happy with the extra space to host. I could never ever stay in an interior cabin. I’d rather not go.

Good reminder

Just got off the Emerald. Had to board ship. Went right to muster station and crew swiped our medallions. You had until 3:00 to watch video. Went to room turned on tv. Used bathroom and put away carryon. By then it was over. It can tell if both medallions are in the room. By then it was 12:00 and dining room was open for lunch and we were done!

Currently on the Emerald. She is in good shape. I did need my mattress replaced. And the lights in the room work on sensors and go off in the middle of the night if you go to the bathroom!

We will be in NYC tomorrow Friday at 6:30 AM so your ship (Emerald) so at least you know you can board!

By the way. We saw Rock Opera last night and it was very enjoyable . The singers were very talented and they got a standing ovation.

New York has winter break the week that includes Presidents Day. We try to sail from NY but this winter will be on the NCL Encore from Miami. Last winter on the Breakaway there were 1800 kids.

We had a great lobster roll at 22 Bowen in the market to the right of the tender pier.

We aren’t sheltering in place, we’re hightailing out of Canada and making a beeline to NY

Thanks. I think we’ll just stay onboard. Read our books and disembark on Saturday. We will have to go through the immigration procedures on Friday that you do on back to back in Fort Lauderdale.

Thanks. We live 45 minutes away so might just go home on Friday. I’m here thru the casino so if it’s closed I only lose a dinner by going home early.

Currently on board. Captain made an announcement that due to Hurricane after St John’s tomorrow we will be turn towards NY a day early. Skipping Halifax and coming into Brooklyn a day early. Sitting in Brooklyn port a full day, trapped no casino or boutiques open. Full immigration required Friday morning so people can leave and go into Manhattan. How the hordes will get there is anyone’s question. We want to go home ( an hour away) but they don’t know when we’ll be able to leave the ship. The weather in Halifax is not bad but I guess they want to make sure they are back for the next cruise. No refund for a lost day.

Since three of our five ports are US we just have to remember to take off the airplane mode when on land.

On board Emerald now and WiFi has been great

By the way Magic to do was so stale it could grow penicillin. It was developed in 2015 and received minimal applause. My husband thought it was new ( because he slept thru it twice before)

Glad you are having a great cruise. I’m a big Princess fan and have been for many years but I would like to sleep at night without a backache.

Last night was Carlos Oscar a comedian who was just ok. A few political jokes and people started leaving.
