  1. Think you will have to contact Cunard direct by telephone to find out prices. They tend not to put prices on because they are liable to change all the time.
  2. Who says I keep booking you shouldn't assume. My cruise on QV in November was booked over 18 months ago and my recent QM2 roundtrip TA 2 years ago. I did not book anymore cruises with Cunard on my recent cruise and aside from QV in Nov we have 4 booked on P&O.
  3. Just search Celebration Packages on Cunard's website.
  4. Not easy for many if old or disabled.
  5. It is my opinion only and whilst many will not agree the prices now being charged for Grills over price of a balcony cabin is really not worth the money. There have been significant price increases in Grill suites this last couple of years and can see our cruise in Nov in a PG, unless a very good deal comes up, will be our last. Will be quiet happy with a balcony and meals in Britannia restaurant.
  6. I think whatever is said you see it as a debate. You park where you want to park and I will park where I want to park. We all have our own choices and will say no more on the matter. Debate closed.
  7. I wasn't challenging anyone's opinion I was just stating my own that I would not park in any multi storey or hotel car park due to the risk. I would reduce that risk by parking with a company with a good level of security and pay extra for that privilege. You can never reduce the risk completely but there are differing options of parking which people have and have their own choice of cost and risk.
  8. Unfortunately many companies not just cruise lines are using COVID as an excuse for downgrading services to cut costs.
  9. No I don't holiday in the UK and I don't leave my car parked in supermarket car park for 14 days which increases the risk than if parked just for 2 hrs. What you decide is your personal choice and what I do is mine.
  10. Of course Captains and senior officers have been scarce in their appearance around the ship is of course to reduce the risk of catching COVID and the risk that would entail. Hopefully things will improve and on our recent cruise on QM2 the Captain was seen around the ship and held cocktail parties and chatted to cruiser's. But no photos with the Captain or shaking of hands.
  11. Secure parking is not just ''security theatre" as some adhere to Park Mark security have 24 hr cctv and do not have public access which of course you have to pay extra for that security. Whilst I agree it only takes a minute to break into a car if parked in a multi storey car park or hotel with no security and open to public access increases that risk. Whilst nothing is 100% secure I would rather pay extra to park my car in a car park that has some level of security. It is down to personal choice and value of car and personally would not leave my car parked in a multi storey or hotel car park. What others do is down to them and personal choice.
  12. We like Paul Brown he is a good Captain and his partner/married to Neil Oliver Entertainment Manager who we have got to know well over the years. We had Robert Camby on Oriana and better half didn't like him because he loves the sound of his own voice and thinks all the women think he is handsome.
  13. I cannot speak for New Zealand only the UK and you have more protection by using credit card than debit card by what is commonly known as Section 75.
  14. Sorry but with Iona you are incorrect. We went on her in March and pre booked and paid online 14 days prior to the cruise for Epicurean for my birthday and also paid £10pp deposit for Sindhu which came off final bill onboard after 10% discount for pre booking and Peninsular Club discount.
  15. You can book Epicurean and Sindhu on Iona online 14 days before cruise. Having not cruised on Arvia so cannot comment. With the 10% discount for pre booking and Peninsular Club discount makes them very popular and we'll booked prior to the cruise.
  16. Because credit cards are more secure and better protection especially if something goes wrong.
  17. I don't "expect" anything but when offered an ice cream on deck with the only choice of strawberry, which I don't like, and asking politely for vanilla or chocolate to be told a firm no and walk off is poor. If I was paying the same amount in a 5 star hotel I would think I would get a better response why should Cunard be any different. They are always pushing at every opportunity White Star service but unfortunately don't deliver on it.
  18. Never use my debit card for paying my account at end of cruise or for any purchases abroad. That is from advice given to me by a bank official at my bank.
  19. All of those have very little or no security at all and would not risk leaving my car there for duration of cruise. Others might take that risk or are not bothered especially if they have an older car.
  20. Yes that is again common sense and P&O haven't learnt much of that for years. On Ventura maiden cruise in 2008 they thought they could operate the ship with same number of crew as Aurora/Arcadia which they couldn't and was the reason why there was very poor and slow service in restaurants and bars.
  21. Difference on leaving the ship we didn't wander around anywhere we went straight home by car and didn't go anywhere until we tested positive. We then stayed at home until we got negative tests.
