  1. From the very first day on embarkation when they come to your cabin and introduced themselves. That has always happened on every cruise I have been on whatever the cruise line 😀😀
  2. Always find it I testing that we never see our cabin steward during the cruise but suddenly is around on our last morning. Sorry but the cynical in me thinks the they are "hovering" in the hope of a extra bit of cash.
  3. Think your answer will be in that were they both there on either side of walkway when you left restaurant after breakfast every morning, if not then they were obviously hovering.
  4. I have said it for many years, way before Covid, that P&O are like 2 different companies land based and sea based. Fortunately sea based is far better and the reason why I always book with a TA and not direct because there land based service is awful.
  5. Yes sorry I meant 28 days my error due to thick fingers and not checking what I wrote before posting.
  6. I think you find all travel companies not just cruise companies that are ABTA bonded have 38 days to respond to complaints or issues. I think it is an ABTA recommendation.
  7. Certainly wasn't the reality in May on our roundtrip TA on QM2.
  8. Can anyone tell me the number of formal nights are held on a 14nt cruise and what day they are usually held on.
  9. We have Nationwide Flexplus account which as well as worldwide travel insurance for all members of immediate family of account holder also has mobile phone insurance and car breakdown. We paid £40 extra for extra cruise cover i.e. missing ports and also a supplement for pre existing conditions. Compared to other quotes was very good. When on Iona in March we missed a port of call and was given a letter by P&O for reason why. On return home phoned Nationwide took details on a short 5 minute call and within a week £150pp was paid into my bank account. Excellent service.
  10. We are due to cruise on Arvia in September for the first time and amazed that one of the MDRs does not have tablecloths for dinner. The more I am finding about Arvia the more I wished I hadnt booked on her. How low are standards going to drop on P&O.
  11. Certainly noticed a deteriation of standards of dress code on QM2 on our roundtrip TA in May. Even in Commodore Club people were being served in clothes that in the past they would have been asked to leave after 6pm. Somewhat disappointing as QM2 as always been known as more formal, especially TAs, than the other Cunard ships.
  12. Totally disagree CWC is a loyalty club and are just as loyal whatever grade of cabin booked. Loyalty is not about how much you spend, somebody that has done 150 nts in an inside cabin is just as loyal to Cunard as somebody has done 150 nts in a suite. It might cost more money and that's their choice but doesn't make them more loyal.
  13. Think you will find that Cunard will only let you move money already paid to a new booking and not one already booked. It makes no difference if you have booked direct with Cunard or through a TA.
  14. Dont you think Senior Managers on alternative cruise lines have made cutbacks since COVID. Cunard are not the only cruise company to do it.
  15. There is also a government official who has described cruise visitors as "like locusts" and they eat in international eating establishments and don't visit museums so don't actually support the community of Amsterdam There are other reasons been well publicised why they are stopping cruise ships and seems to have become very political.
  16. If you are booking a Select fare then you will have the option of free parking, onboard credit or free coach travel to Southampton and return. The company P&O use is Intercruises and not Eavesway which lost the contract a few years back.
  17. I am not being rude just stating fact. If you go down to see MD on day of boarding to see if you can change sitting or change number at a table that is fair enough. But to go down look around tables and then ask MD to change your table for 2 to a better position and promise or give an amount of cash as a thank you is not nice and they wouldn't like it if somebody had done the same across them.
  18. Or just be happy with the table already because all is being suggested is by deck chair is bribe the MD and he will bump the person's assigned that table because you have lined his pocket with a few dollars. Not nice, just think if you had been assigned a window table and you had been moved without your knowledge because somebody had given money to MD to move you and they had your table. How would you feel.
  19. Easy to solve P&O should support their own staff and make it company policy. Clearly placed notices and a regular statement in Daily Programme that unoccupied sunbeds will have items removed and will be available for collection at reception. If any cruiser's get threatening then security should be called and eat ings given. Ultimately though P&O should instigate the policy and support staff 100%.
  20. Always been a failure of P&O that they don't control people that 'reserve' sunbeds at any time of the day. They could easily control it by removing towels and items if beds are not occupied over a certain set period.
  21. There was also a sign telling people to not walk through Kings Court on our recent roundtrip TA. They used the area for the themed alternative evenings but people still ignored it and undid the the barrier at the end so they could get into Princess Grill. Proves that they might have money but nota nets and thought for others.
  22. Dont forget to go to the viewing area behind the bridge where you can see what goes on.
  23. Cunard website states collared shirt and trousers.
  24. No freezer compartments in fridges in cabins.
