  1. Exactly the same as Parking4Cruises who you meet in short stay car park and more often than not are far cheaper than CPS.
  2. CPS do not ever give discount codes.
  3. Use common sense if your car was moved from CPS drop off lane at Ocean Terminal and then they took it to that car park ready for your disembarkation then where do they take all the cars for cruises departing Ocean Terminal. Cunard and P&O use CPS and that car park is not big enough to store all cruises from drop off to disembarking for all cruise ships. Arvia and Iona plus QM2 and Queen Victoria could be using Ocean Terminal and the car park isnt big enough to store all cars. They are stored away from Terminals within port area and then returned to disembarking car park day before your return. If you still think your car is parked there for duration just look at size of car park it is physically impossible to park a number of ships vehicles at same time.
  4. Still arguing about where your car is parked with CPS it is common sense that your car is not parked at the car park where you pick it up for the duration of your cruise. If on handing over your car to CPS on a 7 or 14 nt cruise they parked it in car park waiting for you to return where are all the cars going to be parked after you have left Southampton. In between you leaving there might be other ships belonging to P&O or Cunard either leaving there cars or picking them up on completion of cruise. All cars are parked on that car park ready for disembarkation and the car park has not got the capacity to hold every car for al the cruises in that car park because it isn't big enough. They are parked away in a secure compound and then returned to that car park for every cruise return.
  5. We did a cruise on Oriana a few years ago and after we had booked and paid balance we were told by P&O that she was due in dry dock at end of cruise and our cruise had to be cut short from 16nts to 15nts and also every port of call for the whole cruise the dates were changed. Still the same ports just every day had changed. All they offered was the one night cut short we would be reimbursed by adding amount pro rata for cabin booked as OBC. I contacted P&O and said I had paid for my cruise as agreed in cash and wanted the difference reimbursed in cash and the changes meant that it was a significant change. They initially refused my refund in cash and said changing the day of every port of call on a cruise was not classified as significant. After a considerable amount of toing and froing discussion and the threat of taking legal advice they finally agreed to refund the difference in cash/cheque and said the changes could be classed as significant and I could cancel the cruise and have a full refund as to TCs of booking conditions. P&O dont give anything back freely you have to be firm and push all the way but when pushed to the edge they usually give in.
  6. Sir Samuels is no longer Godi a linked in any way.
  7. For that reason is why I would never use a debit card on a cruise and always use a credit card.
  8. We are due to cruise on Arvia and wondering about our options for evening meals in MDR. I believe that Zenith has tablecloths and Meridian doesn't. What are the tables like in Meridian are they wood or some other covering. Also heard rumours that you can pre book evening meals in MDR 2 weeks before the cruise. If this is correct can you book either restaurant for the whole cruise and what times are available.
  9. We have just checked-in for our future Arvia cruise. The Before You Sail section was completed weeks ago. On checking in passport details were all correct except for passport number which was our old passport number from 7yrs ago. Changed that and then would not accept my place of birth which was already filled in correctly but once I changed passport number it went red and wouldn't accept it. Finally sorted that and then wouldn't let me print luggage labels. Phoned TA in despair and she accessed them and sent them by e-mail and printed them off. What a farce and sorry but P&Os IT system and staff are a joke.
  10. It hasn't lessen our preference for Cunard just personally don't think QG is value for money and think Princess Grill is a better sweet spot for us and far better value money.
  11. I should try Parking4Cruises you might find for a 4 week stay they will be considerably cheaper than CPS.
  12. Sorry but with my very limited experience in QG I think those in Q1 or 2 get far better service than those in Q6. Some will say they should and cannot argue that but for those that say the experience is the same whatever grade of suite whether it be butler maitre'd or waiting staff is clearly mistaken. TBH our only experience in QG on QE was very disappointing and we have had far better service and experience in PG on QE/QV.
  13. Our most favourite ship of all companies we have sailed is QM2 and with regards to other Cunard ships we prefer QE to QV unfortunately we can only sail on QV from Southampton currently.
  14. Why mess with Golden Lion pub menu with "new" Michel Roux jnr take. If it isn't broke don't try and fix it and think it will be a big mistake by Cunard to change fish and chips, chicken tikka masala and ploughman's.
  15. They have never filled all the tables in Epicurean or Sindhu on any of the ships even before Covid. Don't know whether it be a staffing issue or just so they are able to give a more personal better service.
  16. Whoever is currently on onboard is only one of the MDRs still got tablecloths and the other hasn't and which is which. MTIA.
  17. You could book for whole duration of the cruise. I did my bookings while having the Peninsular Club lunch in restaurant.
  18. On our cruise on Iona only a couple of shows in the theatre were available to book pre cruise the rest you had to book once onboard. The only other show available to book pre cruise unfortunately was Wavelength, one hour of my life I won't get back.
  19. That is why they don't give it to you in advance they don't want you to book private excursions they want you to book with them. Method in their madness.
  20. It seems fair to me that all waiters in the bars are on the same wage. I am sure they have no choice in which bar they work they are just told by their managers so those in the quieter bars would get less wages if gratuity for every drink. Seems a lot fairer to all be paid the same wherever they work.
  21. We have only ever cruised QG once on QE and the Maitre'd only visited our table for the whole duration of the cruise only once. Quick hello and is everything to satisfaction and he was off and never once saw a chef or anyone to ask if we wanted anything off menu. Being first time we were very green on many things that we either didnt get or should have happened that didnt and there was certainly no great White Star service to encourage us to book QG again. In fact TBH honest the service and the whole experience was underwhelming. The suite was very nice but we have never been one for staying in our cabin/suite whatever cruise we are on so that was no great reason to book QG again. In fact the service by our waiter was no better than we have received in PG or Britannia in the past just that the menu was better, We were never asked by waiter, head waiter or maitre'd about ordering off menu opr if we had any favourites that we would like to order.
  22. We are due on QV at the end of November in a PG and unfortunately away on another cruise with different cruise line so it looks as if we do get the chance of an upgrade by e mail we will be unable to make an offer so will miss out.
  23. Sorry but what happens to all the other cars that are left with CPS after you have parked and perhaps return before you do. CPS park there cars within port and return the cars to that car park the day before you arrive so they are ready for disembarkation. You think of the number of cruises that use Ocean or Mayflower terminals and park with CPS it would be physically impossible to park and store all the cars on that car park. If you say yours is stored there what happens to all other cars staying with CPS after you have left for your cruise. P&O, Cunard and Princess use CPS and hundreds of cars i8f not thousands are parked and that car park is not physically big enough to store all cars. They are driven away to a compound and stored and the drivers are returned to the terminal in a mini bus for the next cars. Port authority rules are that the cars are then returned to the terminal the day before and that is when they are taken to the car park ready for your disembarkation. If you dont believe me ring CPS and ask them where they store the cars and do they return them to the terminal.
  24. CPS park your car's within the the confides of the docks but it is not at the car park where you pick your car up from on disembarkation. Cars are stored and then returned to that car park for disembarkation for every cruise that operates with Cunard, P&O and Princess. The car park isn't big enough to store cars for duration of cruises because of the daily use of cruise ships.
