Rich is probably the most experienced CD in the fleet. Great guy--you will enjoy being on board with him.:)
We highly agree with this statement. He is very personable and was always interested in hearing your thoughts and ideas. We hope to be on another cruise in the future with him as the CD.

Someone must know this answer!!
We were on the Royal for 20 nights between March and April 2016. Shows we saw were Colors of the World, Spectacular, Sweet Soul Music and What the world needs now.

Have been on more than 15 b2b cruises. Some we stayed in the same room and some we had to change rooms and we have never gone to the second muster and have never received a nasty letter.

I just booked E-115 on the Regal Princess for the 22 day fall crossing cruise September 1, 2017. The description shows this cabin to be a deluxe balcony at 303 sq. feet - quite a lot larger than the standard deluxe balcony at 233 sq. feet. It is not obstructed and other than being very far forward I can't see the disadvantage. But it seems like there must be a "catch" to account for the much larger size shown. Has anyone cruised in one of these DF staterooms? It was also less expensive than the mid-aft deluxe balcony I was also considering. Any help would be appreciated!
Princess web site shows E-115 as 233 sq. ft.

It's on the shipboard intranet.
Is there anyone left who doesn't have a smart phone, tablet, kindle, etc.?
My DH and I do not have a smart phone or a tablet. We only have an old fashion flip phone and a laptop and a desktop so we of course would want to have the patter. Please Princess keep delivering the Patters to our rooms.

Agree, any cruise is what you make it. Go relax and enjoy
We agree 100%. Enjoy your trip.

I never said a word since it was a T shirts & Polo and socks another time. I just learned my lesson & quit using "washing"....only "cleaning" from now on for everything.
The wife also once sent in a sequined shirt & when returned had 1/3 of the sequins removed.
Sometimes even free isn't worth it. ;)
We too have had problems with shrinking when dry cleaning only was requested and also sequin tops. Like you I just don't send those items anymore. Also, was told by room steward that dry cleaning was no longer available which makes me think that the shrinkage is because of being tossed in the washer and dryer as I have never had anything I ever sent to a dry cleaner at home shrink. But it's still a great perk and as others mentioned you soon discover what to put into the laundry and what not to send.

[quote name=Cruzin-K;
However' date=' a staff member working at Guest Services told me that they will be opening up the midship stairs when the ship goes in for dry dock. I don't know when that is, or if it's even true but I am hoping. I thought I'd pass along that news and you can take it with a grain of salt, or take it to the bank - your choice :D[/quote]
We were on the Royal Princess April 2 for a 10 day cruise and we too were told that when she goes in for dry dock they are going to open midship stairs. Hopefully it will happen. Ever since our first cruise on the Royal and Regal we always choose a room either forward or aft so we know we are near the stairs.

We were on the Emerald Princess in February and March and then went over to the Royal Princess and disembarked on April 12. Had no problem at all buying the soda only package on either ship. $4.50 per day plus the 15% gratuity.

Thanks for your review. We board the Emerald Princess tomorrow.

Followed the advise to use the refresh button and everything cleared up instantly. Thanks for posting that information. Problem solved.

We just got off the Emerald, C714. Had no hot water the first night and no cold the second morning. We called and the water was fixed, although the cold never did get terribly cold.
We also complained about the A/C--it never really got cold in the cabin. No one came by that we know of, and over the 8 days it was consistently warm.
I did not like the new mattress (too soft for my taste), and it would have been nice to have the new linens. Our sheets were spotted and stained.
Shows were middling--the comedian was terrible and the "vocalist" emptied a full Princess Theater in his 45 minutes. ;)
Having said that to provide information to those sailing in the future, we did enjoy ourselves overall. This itinerary was great (8 days, 4 at sea, the ABC islands), the food was good to great, and the holiday spirit was alive and well on the ship.
We too just returned from 13 nights on the Emerald. Our A/C did work fine on Riviera Deck however for the first 24 hours we had no hot water it was finally fixed after we called. Did not call when first on board because an announcement had been made that water line was being worked on. Thought they would correct the problem Agree cold water was not really available we just used our bottled water from our mini bar. I also did not like the mattress, if they were new they were way too soft and not to my comfort. Also agree about the bedding sheets ours were also old and stained.
Food this time for our taste was just okay nothing special. Buffet was not that great very crowded. Will be sailing on her again in February, just hope all the kinks are worked out.

I heard that there was almost 600 kids on board. Did they create any problems?
We were on this cruise from November 20 to December 10 and we
never saw 600 children. Would be surprised if there were even 75 on either lap of this trip.

We always keep the auto tip in place, but, like to tip something extra to certain people. So, what we do at the end of the cruise is place cash in an envelope we seal it place our names and cabin number on it and we specifically hand it to the person we want the extra to go to and tell them this is extra for them but in case they have to turn it in to there supervisor for checking everything is already written by us on the envelope. Hopefully they get it back.

Is anyone else having problems with the Princess website today? I am searching for cruises, but it's not allowing me to change the date or look for available cabins.
Just checked on some cruises for 2016 and had no problems.

We saw this show on the Regal Princess T/A crossing in September. They brought on a soprano from Great Britain and that show was outstanding. Hope to see it again on other Princess ships.

Even a bad CD will have some staff who will be competent. I've had Assistant CDs who were obviously better than the CDs they worked for.
Totally agree with that statement.

We have had several cruises with Princess that have had incorrect charges on our bill. So now, we get a print out every single night so that we can check on everything. Don't enjoy waiting on the lines when the machines are not working but because of past problems we just find it worth our time. Hope you can get your situation taken care of. We don't leave the ship without checking that final bill.

My DH and I have booked many inside rooms and have never had a problem with space. We enjoy using the money saved for other on board activities. We do however agree with the others who posted your best bet is to have the room set up as two separate beds instead of the queen as it does seem to give you slightly more room for moving around.
Hope you have a great cruise. -
I thought it was ALWAYS based on the number of days to be invited to that special lunch.
LuLu
The top 40 luncheon or cocktail party is for the 40 most traveled passengers. It is based on days.

Carnival Corp has raised the quarterly dividend 20% to 30 US cents per share effective with the next dividend payment.
That's great news. OBC plus an increase in the dividend makes us all happy happy.

Headache water. :p
For sure, the champagne was not good.

I think we all have a different idea of what a vacation or cruise means. But I agree, I do not want to sit in my room. For me, I go for total relaxation. I want nothing more than to sit on my balcony and listen to the sound of the ship moving through the ocean, lol. It's peaceful and quiet. Usually.
Amen to that. We love to listen to the sound of the ocean and just relax. That is what a vacation is all about.

We are also experiencing this same problem, so you are not alone.
