Have not sat at a table with cruisers I don't know for a long time, but I would simply inform the waiter and the other folks there that my wife and I wish to eat pretty much on time and just bring our food and don't do the hold-up for late-comers.  Don't know any other reasonable way around it because people don't always inform, or forget, or change minds, or are just late back from port, etc.  If you want to eat and be gone for a show or other activity, I don't see why that needs to be ruined.

If I showed up late, I would feel bad if people were waiting for me.  I would apologize and suggest they just keep going at their own pace.  What is wrong with that?

We now only use anytime dining. It’s so much easier.

The only problem with that scenario is that you were on time & having to wait 10 minutes for the others to show up.

If they do show up 20 or 30 minutes late the waiter will delay the whole table until the latecomers catch up.

Agree with this statement. They hold the main course until they catch up.

  3. We booked a cruise for March on the Regal. We completed the ocean ready information and were given an ocean order number and were told medallions would be received approximately 10 to 20 days before that cruise.

Two days ago we decided to book another cruise on a different Princess medallion

ship  the Caribbean Princess for February. We went to the ocean ready app  but it won’t let me request medallions for this cruise. So my question is will they send me two sets of medallions without a second order or will I have to pickup all my medallions at the pier as these cruises although on different Princess ships will be b2b.

    Any information is appreciated. Thanks

  4. There is no library on the Sky and no book cart could be found. If you ask at passenger services they had about four books to choose from apparently left on board by prior passengers. Suggest you bring your own books or kindle if you enjoy reading. Also if you play Soduku you will have to go to passenger services to get some paper ones that use to be available in the library on other ships.

  5. Question: We are doing 20 days on the Crown Princess in November and the day we disembark we will be moving over to the Sky Princess. Today we received our medallion box and inside was a medallion for my DH for the Crown Princess in November and the other medallion was for me for December for the Sky Princess. Why would we each get a different medallion in the same box and I guess I will be expected to go through the regular check in at the terminal for the Crown Princess and same for him for the Sky.
Has anyone else experienced this situation?

Just returned from Crown Princess and extra amenities as Elite were a bit of a joke 1 x shower cap, 1x lip balm, 1 x shampoo, 1 x body lotion and 2 packs containing 3 x balls of cotton wool and cotton buds in each and they were just placed in bathroom in no bag/container.

Our last trip on the Crown which was a few months ago, we also found the elite toiletries just laying on the bathroom counter. There was no bag.

Just tried to book a cruise in the UK with my TA for the Baltics in August 2019 with Love Boat special offer of OBC. Disappointed to find very few cabins available in the grade I wanted and in poor positions of the ship. On refusing to book it TA told me keep on looking at availability because they generally find just before final payment is due a lot of US cruisers cancel bookings at no cost to themselves i.e. loss of deposit. Was told that it is common practice in the US to book a number of cruises to guarantee best cabins and then at the last minute pick cruise which is best price which they can also refare, which we cannot do in UK, then cancel other cruises at no cost i.e. loss of deposit. Of course was told you might not get the offer of OBC  or the cruise price but you might get a better positioned cabin. So Princess have lost a booking because there is no way I am booking a poorly positioned cabin and then later on other better cabins become available because of this practice. Princess's loss I am afraid.

We live in the US and we currently have two Princess bookings that if we should cancel before the final payment date we will lose our deposit. So not all of the above information is correct.

  8. is anyone currently on the Crown Princess or recently left it? I would like to know how many free elite internet minutes they were given for a  10 day cruise or a twenty day cruise. I have booked b2b 2  ten day cruises for December and would like to know if you still get 250 minutes for each ten day cruise. Thanks for any information.
