  1. Should have read most Useful Haven Perks
  2. One of the best and most usual Haven perks I found was being able to use the crew elevator. This was taken on the Getaway last week
  3. The BEST part of staying in the Haven..... and the FASTEST way off any ship!!!
  4. We just did the E Muster on the Getaway 1-8 sailing. Easy peasy, our check in took all of 5 seconds just after boarding on the way up to the Haven
  5. First of several videos..... this one I got done on the ship. The others will take a while
  6. Last dinner in the Haven. The waitstaff has been great! Anita one of the bar staff is my favorite. Alex the concierge and Mark our butler have been great even though we didn’t really use them for much. Alisa our cabin steward is fantastic I’m ready to get off, have a bunch of things at home I’m working on and I’m ready to see my 90lb Golden Furbaby
  7. Just an FYI…. Per the Captain At 10:00am we were 100 miles east of Norfolk, Va. We are planning to pick up the pilot at Midnight, will pass the Verrazano Narrows about 2:30am and will dock at 3:30am…I won’t be deck taking any video, I might set up a time lapse I’ll be back over the next few days and weeks posting links to videos when I have them done
  8. In our Haven Spa cabin it is, however my wife always bring a small chargeable one
  9. Sunny and 70f Just had a great breakfast in the Haven restaurant. It really made up for the lousy dinner in the Italian restaurant last night. I’ve had better Lasagna from Costco Lol
  10. At 6:40am we are east of Cape Hatteras moving at 18 knots. We have travelled 3866 miles and have another 310 miles to go to NYC. Our last two sea days we have Bering moving at a constant 20.5 knots today we are running at 18 Looking forward to getting off tomorrow. With any luck will be off, thru customs and driving home by 8am Its a cloudy cool sea day today
  11. Let me be clear, the cabin and the service are great. It’s the location of the cabin that is the problem. Others near us complain too. We are right across from hall from the crew service area, I think it’s 4 or 6 service elevators. From about 7pm-10pm every minute or so the door slams shut with a large bang. I get it, someone’s cabin needs to be across from it. I should have looked exactly where the cabin was before I choose it
  12. This is the first cruise I remember ever seeing a yellowish exhaust, with a sulfur smell. In the past it’s been black, gray…. Don’t remember a smell. I do remembered soot on the aft decks. This is different
  13. I think the smell at Spice H20 is the least of your worries. From what I have observed and heard the service across the board is lacking. Not because of effort because of numbers. The service in the Haven has remained excellent. We won’t however cruise the Getaway again. Not have a retractable roof of the Haven courtyard is not idea. Our cabin location is terrible, it was cheap and the last one available, I wouldn’t book it again if it was free
  14. The only thing I’ve seen anyone working on is the elevators and a little painting. One of the forward elevators was out for what seems to be most of the cruise. They had 3-4 guys working on. I don’t go back to the rear of the ship much
  15. So I was back at Spice H2O for about 15 minutes. IDK if anything is wrong per day but it stinks, then again the wind is also pushing the yellowish exhaust downward A few nights again we saw the Fleetwood Mac band. I don’t get it, they were OK certainly not as good as the talk I heard about them. It seem like NCL just put the band together? I overheard one of the guitarists saying he is on the ship for 60 more days We haven’t used our two person jacuzzi tub in our Haven Spa Balcony yet, mainly because it comes in really handy for dumping your bathing suits and snorkeling gear in
  16. Haven’t heard anything, I’ll take a look i have heard lots of complaints about the vibrations in the rear of the ship. We had dinner in the aft restaurants three times and couldn’t wait to get out
  17. I happen to looked at my onboard account yesterday and noticed it was $110 in the positive. Got $50 for not having the behind scenes ship tour (I had gone to guest services to try and sign up for it) I also got $60 back for “Internet Cafe” Nobody could tell me why, not the internet person nor the person at guest services….. I’m taking the cash and running
  18. It’s about 30 minutes, and about one hour to the bridge
