  1. On a behind the scenes tour year ago I was told all of the pools are saltwater. Water is pump in from the ocean and run thru a number of filters.
  2. I called and got FCC two weeks ago when I noticed the price of our Haven cabin had dropped $500, their was only one H9 left at the time. I called and talked to a manager who said late her take a look. Two minutes later she said we would get $475 of FCC.
  3. Just like in my boat..... you hang your azz over the side Lol
  4. Good grief,.... its a first world problem
  5. I wouldn't go that far but I agree the instructions given out at most of them are not great, it makes it worse when people are talking and you can't hear things. However as a boat owner and one who is responsible for the people on my boat to know what to do, where life jackets and other things are located I take each muster drill pretty seriously. I know exactly where our life jackets are in the cabin, I know how the go on and fit and I know exactly where our station is located. I bet 80% of passengers on any given cruise are clueless about all three
  6. Aruba has some great beaches, Bonaire has excellent diving and snorkeling. St Lucia is a great place for a full day tour. I would check out https://www.cosol-tours.com/our-tours/ Our tour was 6 hours and was excellent
  7. I've been to a few of them were the crew kept announcing over and over for everyone to be quiet. 75% of the passangers couldn't manage that
  8. What are the chances of getting a BLT or Rueben in the Haven restaurant? Neither is on the menu
  9. They most likely do but not many which means you will need to be one of the first on the ship
  10. Thats crazy, normally right off the bat a spa balcony is about $100 cheaper to book instead of booking a regular balcony and then buying passes
  11. Be really careful with your bids, have a Firm price in place. Go back and see what Haven cabins are going for. I booked a Haven cabin after I realized it was cheaper than my highest bid......
  12. Good luck! My wife and I really lucked out with our 12 day in January or the Getaway. We only have one port out of 7 with other ships
  13. Not only will it feel crowded it will be very crowed. Make plans to get off as soon as you can
  14. https://www.cruisemapper.com/deckplans/Norwegian-Escape-878/deck13-1412
  15. When my wife and I sailed on the Escape in the Haven in 2019 it was in excellent condition The Escape does have a covered courtyard, the Getaway does not
  16. You need to remember just like your room steward your Butler also takes care of other cabins
  17. Thats a good deal, I would take it. Spa passes will cost you more that $140 each for an 8 day cruise. The weather is what it is, it might be rough or fairly calm. Our cruise in January 2018 on the BA was very smooth going south and very rough coming back
  18. How long is your cruise. When are you sailing? My wife and I went from a Spa Balcony to a Haven Spa Balcony for our 12 day. The thermal spa is great on those cold / cooler days
  19. How many cabins does a butler normally take care of? We have a Haven Spa Balcony on deck 14 of the Getaway. I count 16 Haven cabins forward and 2 aft. I'm guessing two butlers for the deck?
  20. My wife and I did a NCL excursion in Belize about 7 years ago. It was a 60 mile bus ride followed by a 20 mile river cruise. The bus had a bathroom. It consisted of a 5 gallon bucket
  21. Going out of a limb but I think the smaller ships have the biggest sun decks. I liked the "Freestyle" deck the Gem used to have
