  1. I just got $400 FCC, it will not be available until after our cruise in January then its good for a year. We won't be cruising again for two years. Has anyone sold / transferred their FCC?
  2. Hard to believe this is the ships gangway. I believe its one supplied by the cruise pier?
  3. I would try to get the Vibe passes online. If you can't you will need to be one of the first on the ship to get them
  4. Do it! Last week I just changed our cabin from a Spa Balcony to a Haven Spa Balcony on the Getaway for our 1-8-23 cruise. When it was all said and done the cost to do it was $500 less than my max bid in the "Good" range. We had a Haven cabin on the Escape in 2019 and it was great
  5. All depends where you are sailing. If its going to be warm all the time I would choose Vibe
  6. Cruising for my wife and I started in 2010, it was going to be one and done just to try it. Our 12th NCL cruise is coming up in January. For us it's a means to an end. Not having the hassle of flying for half of our cruises is really nice. We are booked in a Haven Cabin on our next cruise really excited about that. My fondest memory of a cruise is actually my sadist. My best friend of 40 years passed away in March of 2015 after a 3 year battle for colon cancer. He and his wife always wanted to go on a cruise. So I basically made it happen. Our cruise was in February of 2015, I also surprised him with getting him brother and SIL to go. We had a blast, sadly a few days after we got home he went into hospice. This next cruise is all about relaxation and just sitting on the beach
  7. Wow.... this is still going on. I don't know what problem is. The stated rule is 16.... Not 15.5, not 14 or 13. Not 15 if they are nice kids. It's pretty cut and dry, its 16. If you have a problem with that rule that's on you, don't book the Haven
  8. Does each person have to check in separately and watch the video? I normally check in online for my wife and I. Does she need to log in also?
  9. Looking for a beach with at least chair rentals, bathrooms and food would be a bonus. Is either better for snorkeling which is our main goal? Thanks
  10. 90% of the sports I've seen on NCL ships are soccer from around the world. Lots of their crew members play. I remember having a pickup game with a half dozen passengers and about 2 dozen crew member on the BA. It was a good time
  11. Getaway 12 day cruise, Haven Spa Balcony (2) people. All in with gratuities paid, unlimited wifi and (4) NCL excursions it $317 per person a day. The only extra is tipping and parking at the pier
  12. Yes, people cancel sometimes their is a no show. Be prepared to be upgraded up to sailing day.
  13. Like others have said she can visit your cabin, that's about it. I took friends thru a walk thru of the Haven so they could see what it was like
  14. Yes it will be on. Soccer is the most watched sport in the world
  15. After I posted the question I sent an email to the Concierge desk and ask them if a carton can be supplied. They said no problem they will add it to our reservation. We had asked for a few things the last time, when we got on board nothing was done but they did take care of it pretty fast
  16. Wondering about Soy milk, is it possible to get a carton of it for your in cabin fridge?
  17. I'm assuming nothing was filed with the CG, same nobody had a camera going
  18. I want to have dinner with Captain Kate!!! Lol
  19. I'm not worried..... at least not yet Lol. 12 cruises with NCL and no real issues. I've had some really annoying ones on this booking. I talked to 5 people in regular customer service first and then figured let me try the Concierge email to see if they can help. At the end of the day they did, but holy cow.... 5 days to get a response.
  20. I've got to say so far I'm not impressed with the "Concierge" email response. I sent them a question on Monday with my name reservation number sailing date.... This morning I finally got an email back, so much for 24-48 hour response Lol. I did try to call twice and the two people I talked to were unable to help
  21. 9:00-9:30 is not your boarding window. That is most likely your Arrival Time. Boarding usually begins around 11:00am for Haven, Special Needs.... 11:30am ish for everyone else. Cabins are ready around 1-2pm, an announcement will be made when they are ready After going thru security and checking in, getting your cabin card you can get a boarding pass. The lower the number the earlier the boarding
  22. I'll have to try that if they don't offer it on the Getaway
  23. I'm curious if this was a tender from the ship or a third party at the port? Any video of what happened?
  24. Not sure how this would play out but...... Federal law requires the operator or owner of a recreational vessel to file a boating accident report with the State reporting authority if the recreational vessel is involved in an accident that results in any of the following: A person dies A person is injured and requires medical treatment beyond first aid A person disappears from the vessel under circumstances that indicate death or injury Damage to vessels and other property totals $2,000 (lower amounts in some states and territories). The boat is destroyed. Report Timelines: Within 48 hours if a person, dies within 24 hours, is injured and requires medical treatment beyond first aid, or disappears from the vessel under circumstances that indicate death or injury. Within 10 days of the occurrence or death if earlier reporting is not required. The information you provide is used to establish regulations and safety standards, identify and remedy boat defects, educate recreational boaters, capture statistical data, investigate accidents, and measure the effectiveness of boating safety programs. Accident Reporting Forms Forms may be found on the Coast Guard's Directive and Publications Division Website at http://www.dcms.uscg.mil/Our-Organization/Assistant-Commandant-for-C4IT-CG-6/The-Office-of-Information-Management-CG-61/Forms-Management/CG-Forms/ or entering the form numbers into a web search engine. CG-3865 Recreational Boating Accident Report CG-3865-SP Reporte Del Accidente En Barcos De Recreacion Most states and territories accept this form, although some have their own. A listing of contacts for the state's primary boating authority may be found at https://www.nasbla.org/about-nasbla/boating-contacts . Reports are generally sent to the Boat Accident Report Database administrator.
