Checking in.

I have some good news and some sad news. It looks like we will be having an early spring this year so that is good news. The sad news is that South Dakota Sam has gone to that great gopher hole in the sky. He tried crossing in front of a Ford F-350 with duallies, pulling a stock trailer, and unfortunately that was just too many tires for Sam to Dodge. I visited with his mother, South Dakota Suzy, to offer her my condolences. She vowed that she would make sure that there was a South Dakota Sam the 7th ready for next year, in honor of her dearly departed son.

Gerry, Sorry to hear about the continuing problems getting help for your DH. Hopefully the office visit to your physician will help. Our thoughts and prayers are still with you both.

In South Dakota we do not have any ground hogs, so to celebrate the day, we use an old gopher named South Dakota Sam. The custom is also a little different here. If Sam can dart across the road without being run over by a passing vehicle, then its 6 more weeks of winter. If he doesn't make it, it means we need to look for another gopher for next year.

The answer seems obvious to me. They certainly didn't want to rock the boat.

I have a helpful hint for change your password day. I changed all my passwords to incorrect. That way when you are having a senior moment, and can't remember it, you can type in anything, and you will get a helpful reminder. It will automatically remind you that your password is incorrect.

Kathi, I hope the cruise goes well for you, and that you are able to get all your strength back over time.

Instead of Google I tried Bing to see if they had a definition of Joh. According to the search, Joh is a Hebrew version of John, which also translates as God is Gracious. I like this definition and I think I deserve some pie, for all my hard work. Ok, I admit that I think everything I do entitles me to pie. Even if you disagree, please send pie. Thank you in advance.
