  1. I am expecting a 60s/70s/80s party night, a white night and Gala/Elegant night. Not sure what Christmas activities will be onboard but watch this space! Oh! Talking about space….there could be a ‘silent space party’ too!
  2. I was getting my days wrong! Trying to wish the days away so it’s our turn! 😅
  3. It was always open early on a sea day on Virtuosa. Good news though. So are you on Zeebrugge today?
  4. Oh sorry for Mrs Stocksy82. Mr CT sometimes prefers to lie down and I have to go solo to enjoy the champagne and dancing! It’s a hard life eh?! 😅😂 He did pretty well on the last cruise, when I encouraged him to join me midship as it’s so much better there than at the front! Although I understand the yacht club has the best ‘captain’s view’ it also feels the oncoming waves more! It’s the same on all the ships with best suites either front or back. We’re as far back as can be in YC and last of the row this time but we have been very front twice before.
  5. Ha ha! We always take Stugeron tablets along and take them if the Captain announces it may be rough. Works like magic every time! We have often sailed this route in winter and even the dreaded Bay of Biscay! We did the latter in October and it was deemed to be rough but we were both fine. Even some staff were ill but to be fair they have to stand up and do their duties. We could make sure we were in a central venue, such as Masters of the sea, and sit and relax. Apart from the tablets we also watch what we eat, usually avoiding creamy or overly rich food. Some swear by sliced green apple. We enjoy being rocked to sleep at night although, I have read that, some hear loud bangs as waves hit the ship. It must depend on the position of the cabin. We have been in older and smaller ships and even one that listed! 😱 We tend to avoid those now, and stick with newer ones with good stabilisers! I hope you enjoyed your cruise @Stocksy82
  6. Here we go again! Although similar to other reports I’ve done, (as the Virtuosa is almost identical), I’ll comment on the differences Euribia. The aim of the report is to help others about to sail and, those considering whether or not to book. Also, it’s great for me to be able to scroll back and remember happy times when I’m at home and in between cruises! It’s surprising what one forgets, and how good it is when the pictures and text bring it all back to life! I welcome questions about the ship. I love a challenge, and finding things out, so ask away! For now, I’m checking tickets and my bookings. Also, thinking about what outfits to take and more importantly, what I can leave at home without regret! I’ve sorted out cat care and am winding things up nicely at work. I do work in the world of watchmaking, so a bit of a pun there! Counting down the days now! Only four more sleeps! (Eight if you include afternoon naps! 😅). Feel free to follow along on this fabulous festive cruise! 🎄
  7. If you are in yacht club, mention to your butler. If not, perhaps buy in the special experiences.
  8. If you booked through a TA ask them, if you booked directly with MSC, give them a call.
  9. Thanks for doing this. I’m glad you enjoyed it and had a good upgrade. It would have given you a lot more room even if you didn’t get to use the balcony much.
  10. Only one?! One each I guess. A bottle of fizz and more chocs would be nice too! also maybe free tickets to special show. I like idea of a back of scenes tour. These are usually paid for but a one time visit would be good. I wouldn’t want to do that twice! I actually enjoyed dinner with the officers on NCL Star. I didn’t think I would but it was well run and we enjoyed it.
  11. Wow! You won’t know what’s hit you! It’s great! You are going to have an amazing cruise! I don’t stop smiling from beginning to the end!
  12. I was told to look out for the Diamond plus coming soon! That’s good new for us as we have over three and a half times the amount needed for diamond. I have written to MSC with my suggestions of additional benefits I would like to see. They are very receptive to customer feedback so well worth you doing the same.
  13. We are YC. Also got an upgrade. We were in YC on Virtuosa earlier this month and World Europa in January. I’ll probably do a live report. I’m interested to know if I can still get any chocolatey fruit treats! I really enjoyed them when we eventually got back to YC after a night in Masters of the Sea. I’ll miss them if I can’t get them! 😅 Have you been in YC before?
  14. Please report back. We are getting on as you get off! 😅
  15. Thanks for confirming. I wonder how much the discount is? Pre paying for massages is a good idea anyway as they include a discount and include service charge so nothing to pay onboard. I wonder how much the ‘percentage’ is and if it is off the already reduced price. If not, it’s not much of a YC perk! 😅
  16. Yes congratulations to you both! We too, got YC balcony with maximum YC inside bid! We sail in 2 weeks!
  17. Great idea for YC to have its own hour or so! Much better than mixing with the hoarders of folk down there. We didn’t use it at all the last two cruises but would if this was the case! lobe your pictures b6 the way! Excellent review so far.
  18. I think we would avoid the Brasserie and even if it meant waiting, we would go to YC restaurant. Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear you seem to have wasted a meal.
  19. We found the same on Virtuosa and Grandiosa with so many people using the spa. We didn’t the using our YC perk of going for an hour each day because it isn’t enjoyable with it so crowded. I agree, we often have used spa on NCL and rarely have we felt it too busy.
  20. We were in the same position in YC and took our speciality meal at lunchtime on the sea day so we didn’t miss out on YC evening meal! For me, I preferred YC food but it made a change.
  21. That’s helpful to know. Thank you.
  22. Was there a sommelier in Yacht club? We were ‘between sommeliers’ when on Virtuosa and missed their advice and input! I’d love it if there’s going to be one on Euribia! Also, thanks for the daily planners, I notice one of our fave musicians Roberto is playing in Master if the Seas pub. Did you get to see him? He has such a powerful voice.
  23. I was wondering the same! I am interested to know what entertainment is around the ship. If there is a Master of the Seas pub and who plays there at the moment.
