  1. Which ship are you on? Thanks for your kind words. I do the same, when not in a cruise I am reading and living through other people’s while I look forward and plan my next one! I am sure Seaview will be very similar to the others you mention. There is little difference between Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia but it’s exciting to discover what little things are not the same! Enjoy every minute of your last few days!
  2. That sounds like a great cruise! I’m glad to hear you liked it! We have been to all the ports so may not do too much in each port but, have booked one MSC excursion as they are often great value for money. I think we may do our own thing in most. I’m at work getting last bits done and the thought of the break is making me smile!😊
  3. Here we go again! Yet another live report. I have resisted doing them on my last few cruises but this is a different ship and because there is so little written about Seaview online, and especially a lack of information about Yacht Club. I’ll attempt to rectify that! We booked this trip last year onboard MSC Virtuosa, while in Barcelona, back in November 2023. We had been enjoying Yacht Club so much we knew we wanted to repeat the experience back in the Med. It will be our eleventh time in the MSC ‘ship within a ship’ Yacht club experience, and seventh different MSC ship. I’ll be finding out which class of ship suits us best and reporting on the food, the entertainment, the venues and all areas around the ship too. expect lots of photos! I love sunsets and expect there to be some good ones as the weather forecast is right for it! Please follow along and ask any questions. I’ll do my best to investigate for you!
  4. We were heading to get there to board at 10am but because of my misadventure with my not so missing ‘lost’ phone, which delayed us….we didn’t board check in until 10.30! 😅 boarding is usually from 10am in YC so go along when you’re ready! I’m sure you’ll feel very welcomed. I’m glad I helped make you even more excited! Enjoy every minute! We will be boarding YC on MSC Seaview on Friday next week and as it is such a similar itinerary, I read through my notes too! Always handy so I don’t book the same excursion twice in error! We haven’t been on that ship before so it will be good to try that class out too. I think I may do a live report from that ship too as I haven’t read one and would have liked to.
  5. 1. 🤐!!!! 2. Yes! See post #41 3. We ordered and it was brought to us. I recommend going to main restaurant if possible though as food and service was better. I wouldn’t worry about the size. I had some of the best service ever, in this YC even though it was bigger. It all boils down to who is YC Director and which butlers you get. At the time we sailed, this was a very well run YC. Thanks for your kind words. I hope you enjoy your time onboard World America.
  6. Beautiful sunset in Southampton! It’s great when the staff are excited to go home- they work long and hard so it’s fun to see them setting off on their breaks! I hope you both have a good journey home and that you enjoy Carnival when you try it out - I look forward to your reading report next year! 😀
  7. Ha ha! The cruise next certificates always get us too! 😅 We are most loyal to MSC Yacht Club but also do a NCL once a year due to aforementioned certificates and loyalty programme. Thanks again for taking time to share your cruise.
  8. I’m enjoying your live report. I always wondered what Disney cruising was like. I agree, the Prima cabins are amazing and hard to beat. However, the food looks amazing on Disney! Great you can enjoy quality time with your mum. I love the photos of you together.
  9. Brilliant! I’m taking my mum on it for her first cruise. I’ve been on Virtuosa 8 times and three more booked! I love that ship.
  10. Yes. Don’t worry. When it comes to check in time they ask where your passport was issued and what is your nationality. Which ship have you chosen?
  11. I’m glad to know this before I book. I enjoy the newer ships YC offerings.
  12. I organised my last one on the Bliss in May and refreshments were provided (shown in my photo above) and most people took a hot drink or some juice. It did not say they would not be provided on that confirmation I got in May though, so it is new. I’m on the same ship again. I really hope you’re right and that we do still get some. I’m not bothered by the pasties myself but it’s quite a way from nearest bar that serves hot drinks.
  13. I have organised CC Meet & Mingles on NCL in the past and they have been well attended with officers attending. Complimentary hot drink refreshments and pastries were also kindly provided by NCL. I contacted NCL last week, to inform them I am organising one for my next cruise with 100 attending, and was surprised to be told NCL will no longer provide refreshments at Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle events, I’m very surprised and wondered if this will put people off planning an event or attending one?
  14. Now THATS what I can slick!! 👌
  15. We had the same experience on the Inaugural sailing of the Prima. I thought we were being asked because it was the first sailing but they obviously believe in continuous improvement! It was memorable as we have sailed on lots of ships but never been asked for feedback while on the cruise.
  16. I thought it might be that when Virtuosa is ‘Home Ported’ at Southampton it is UK currency and when she her Home Port is Hamburg it is Euros.
  17. We stayed in an inside YC on Works Europa in January and it was fine. Just take less luggage! The YC was brilliant and we enjoyed the service, facilities and food too. Just as good as other YCs even though much bigger. Enjoy!! Here’s my live review if you’re interested!
  18. I have been on yacht club Virtuosa several times and when we board again on Saturday, we will actually pass up on our free speciality dine that we get with our platinum status. That is because the food and service in yacht club restaurant is much better. You can book the Carousel production, in advance much cheaper before you board. They are half hour shows and I recommend them both. I have done Live reports from Virtuosa if that helps. Here’s one. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2858604-live-report-from-msc-virtuosa-yacht-club-11-18th-june-2022-southampton-norwegian-cruise/ Enjoy your time onboard- It’s a great ship and a wonderful Yacht Club.
  19. Did you book show tickets as soon as you boarded? Is there a room you go to sign up for the shows as there is on some ships? I really don’t want to miss out when we go in May -so want to be prepared and ready!! Any suggestions? We are Sapphire Lattitudes status so wonder if I can book through concierge.
  20. Looks like it was abandoned. I wonder if it was because she was enjoying herself so much?! I hope so as we are on the shop soon and I was hoping to pick up some tips!
  21. Following with interest as we are on the Bliss in early May. Thanks for doing a Live!
