Sorry for delayed reply, but the clock struck midnight and it was time for my beauty sleep (major fail! 🤫) Drinks did not appear on the account. A few times they appeared in error, but were credited out (without requesting). Shorex using the HIA were posted to the account, after ticketing, with zero value. Speciality restaurants, using the free HIA promo, were also posted with zero value the day after eating there. As we pre paid crew incentive (not HIA, but pre paid by us) this credit was posted to the account in full on embarkation day along with the other sundry credits (stockholder etc) and the Crew Incentive was posted daily to the account. There were also a few 'sundry purchases' as DW calls her forays to the ship's shops on a sea day 🙄). Neither the additional purchases nor the crew incentive gained any additional cruise day credits.

We have been on 3 cruises since the restart and had HIA on all 3. Two were part of the cruise fare and one was purchased just before sailing date. In all 3 cases we received full credit for spending based on 1 day for each day of HIA. So, a 12 day cruise gave 12 Sailing Days, 12 Suite bonus and 12 Spending. ie a total of 36

Doubt it. It would only be connected to the ships intranet and would not have access to the internet.

There is an ethernet cable going to the TV, for the on demand movies and viewing your account.

I just checked back and both of these were Signature Suite cabins. Maybe there is a difference.

You will be tendering in Dun Laoghaire. The itinerary shows as Saturday August 26th Dublin (Dun Laoghaire) Ireland 8.00am to 11.59pm. That is a problem even for the 9 am tour, as Dun Laoghaire is 30 minutes south of Dublin city. I am not sure what you mean by 'travels through Wicklow to get there'? Powerscourt and Glendalough are situated in Wicklow. So, what to do?? Possibility #1 The Dublin Sightseeing tour https://www.dublinsightseeing.ie/southcoast-tour travel from Dublin to Powerscourt through Dun Laoghaire. Perhaps you could contact them and ask if they would pick you up in Dun Laoghaire. Thanks. That is a newly published charter. Olivia have Nieuw Amsterdam chartered for the coming two weeks and they are sold out. Make sense to have another cruise available for the happy cruisers to flash their credit cards at.

That is a new charter ok. Olivia charters are very popular. They have two 7 day cruises on Nieuw Amsterdam starting tomorrow and it makes perfect business sense that they have another cruise available to sell onboard.

The ports are all at the rear panel of the tv and just about unreachable. It is also widely reported that the ports are disabled. Also if you need an internet connection for your game, that is 'patchy' and the speed would not lend itself to serious gaming.

The computer classes are no more, so no computers.

I have no idea. At some stage there would have been a gap in the sailing schedule, but that is now filled with sailings. It certainly would appear that the dry dock has been 'deferred'.

We are booked on the 14day Canary Islands cruise. Unusual itinerary for HAL so jumped at it. There are no tender ports on that segment. There are two tender ports on the following Baltic segment, but we have not been to either of the ports so really cannot comment. Also being 4 star we would have priority tendering ashore. We have about 70 days on Koningsdam, older sister to Nieuw Statendam, and just one 14 day cruise on Rotterdam with another 14 days due this year. We would not hesitate to book any of the Pinnacle class ships in preference to the other ships. More music venues and Dutch cafe are the two important facilities on these ships. Come and join us!

Depending on how much luggage and your physical capabilities, train from Schiphol airport (platforms are under the airport) to Amsterdam Centraal and then either walk or taxi to the cruise terminal. Or book a taxi with staxi.nl from your hotel to the cruise terminal. Picking a random date of 15th April at 10.00am the price is about €55 (euro) for the taxi for up to 4 pax. A seven seater is €76. May change slightly depending on where your hotel is actually located.
