Found the regulations _
https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/legal-privacy/cruise-contract.html
5. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Guests under the age of 21 years must travel in a stateroom with a Guest 21 years or older who shall assume responsibility for their care during the cruise. For family groups booking multiple staterooms, the minimum age for at least one person in each stateroom is 16 years of age, provided they are traveling with a parent or legal guardian. We are unable to accept group reservations for student or youth groups that do not conform to our minimum age requirements. Each Guest agrees and warrants that he/she will supervise any Guest in his/her care at all times to ensure all policies, along with all other rules of the Carrier and ship, are strictly adhered to by all Guests under their supervision.

My 13 year old nieces are indeed the only passengers listed on the booking for the Category L, inside stateroom. They now have their own Mariner #'s too. My Brother and I are the passengers listed in the SB cabin, both cabins have different HAL Booking #'s.
I think that it would be a good idea to ask your agent how she was able to do this. I suspect that she has over-ridden the system by selecting adult for one or even both of your neices. If you go to the HAL plan a cruise page and try to do a dummy booking for your cruise, you will see that '1' adult is the minimum number allowed for any cabin. It is impossible to book a cabin for only two young adults (children) under 17.
You need to get this sorted before you arrive at the dock.

Interesting, on our Noordam cruise in a few days, there were 2 fare drops before final payment, (booked the cruise 6 months ago.) I requested a refare from my TA and HAL, the answer I got was..'For Australian Bookings, the fare you pay is the final fare, no refares. We mainly cruise Princess and do a few refares. This has not made me happy, as this is our first HAL cruise.
It sounds like you had a restricted fare. We have re-fared several times by ringing the Sydney office. We have never been refused.

Hi ger_77. Was this photo taken when the tender was down in the water? Thanks.

Any suggestions for a good 'G' cabin on Westerdam? (The 'D' are taken.)
Thank you.

A mistake was made. An apology was received.

Are the Explore 4 fares refundable? We do like to be able to re-fare if a lower overall price becomes available. Thanks.
Yes. But if you re-fare again at a later date for a lower price you will lose the Explore 4.

Is there a way to get this promotion after already being booked on a cruise? My TA said it was only for new bookings and didn't say anything about being able to "re-book" like some people have mentioned. Should I press her more on it? Not sure if it makes a difference but it is for an Alaska cruise in May 2020.
I asked for my cruise to be 're-fared'.

Update, just made the call added SBP and Pinnacle to both for no charge. (And OBC) . While I was at it I added the 14 day cruise between the first two. Now I have to go look for a job.
Love your attitude to life!! 😀

Some of the doctors that I work with are cancelling their cruises where we get continuing medical education after I told them about 10 fee. They never been on HAL before. But they are cancelling after they heard about the entirety of my negative experience with them.
Do your medical doctors receive no nutrition training? I can not imagine a single one of my doctor friends thinking that it was okay to order two mains (entrees).

Thanks for that. We have added it to our 2020 Europe cruise as well.

Interesting. Do make the booking through HAL directly, or use a TA?
Yes we book directly with HAL. There is no advantage with booking any other way in New Zealand. I can see my bookings almost instantly.

However it still doesn't remember any bookings (I still have to retype the booking# every time). Does yours remember bookings?
Yes, no problem seeing my 4 bookings every time I check.

I use Firefox all the time and have no problems finding my bookings. Is the problem with your computer settings?

$25 charge(fine) everytime you go to the front desk to whinge about something minor - this would make a fortune.

Go to tripfiction.com. Lots of good ideas for pre-reading.

We also love having a Lanai. We do not find the cabin small, and always have more storage space than we need. We have another 47 days booked in Lanais on Maasdam, Volendam and Veendam this year.

When I go through the process of trying to book a cruise on the website, I can only get as far as number of people in a cabin and then it sends an error message and won't go any further. This has been happening for two days.
You may be trying to book in a category where there are no available cabins. Try a different category.

We have used Hyatt Place 17th Street twice now and will stay again this year. Close to shops and to the port. Airport shuttle and a paid shuttle to port. Medium price.
Enjoy your cruise.

Look on the first page of your reservation. Right-hand column in cruise details.

Still relatively new to using the HAL website ... and maybe I am missing something ... is there a "search" option ... not for finding cruises ... but for finding info that may not be in the "Know Before You Go" brochure? If there is I must have "selective sight" because I'm not seeing it.
Scroll right down to the bottom of the page. Click on 'frequently asked questions'. Start typing key words from your question to bring up a drop-down box.

On another thread it is reported that it is a special country music charter.

We have been directly above in 7138 twice. The cabins are longer than other verandahs. If you look at the photo of 7138 you will see that there is a chair between the bedside table and the sofa. This is how much extra room there is (usually the sofa is against the table.). Enjoy your cruise.
