  1. Plan on going 60 minutes before any show in Princess theater. We had early dining and would race straight to the theater just to get a seat. Bring your phone to read or play games. We also had trouble in the buffet at lunch time finding open tables. We just shared with anyone just to have a place to eat. I hope your experience is better, but we will never book her again.

  2. They are fixed, but my CPAP has always fit on the nightstand. If you needed to you could always put it on the floor by the bed if yours is oversized. We bring an extension cord. Ask your room steward for distilled water, they will bring a gallon no charge.

  3. I have found the EZAir group to be kind, understanding and easy to work with. A week before our South America cruise our flight from DFW to Buenos Aires had one flight change times. This made a connection in Dulles less than 45 minutes and I was very nervous. I called and they were able to get us on a nonstop to BA with no charge and saved us a day of flying all over the East coast. I love EZAIR!!

  4. You can also walk into the dining room with a glass of wine for dinner. One of the servers lined up at the door usually carries it right to my table. Vines or any bar will gladly give you wine glasses. Take a corkscrew or the nice servers in Vines will happily open your bottles. I forgot my corkscrew once. Enjoy!!

  5. We have sent everything in on over 120 days of cruises and not one issue or any shrinkage. I do take a stain stick with me and treat my stains before sending it in. This helps a lot. They look just like a deodorant stick. As I understand it, there is no “hot” wash used at all. Only issue we have had is on long cruises with lots of elite it sometimes takes days to get back! I take pics on my phone of each batch I send in to make sure it all returns.

  6. We took a Panama Canal cruise on her and she is the only ship we will never cruise on again. They added cabins to her and it has caused a huge overcrowding problem for public areas like the buffet and Princess theater. We love the Coral, but they did not butcher her up and add all the cabins. Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but you asked for honest opinions.

  7. The ones served in the evening in the main dining room are so much better than the trident grill. About 1/2” thick and have different gourmet toppings each night, or you can have just traditional. Bacon cheese is really good. At the Trident Grill my hubby asks for a double meat since they are rather thin. I love the grilled chicken at the Trident grill!

  8. They have a yummy avocado sandwich for vegetarians and I ask that they add sliced chicken to it. It is lightly grilled to melt the cheese- OMG - it is so good. The potato chips are the perfect accompaniment! Be sure and take some single dollar bills to tip the delivery person!!

  9. Check out a private tour operator called “Dyea Dave”. You will save a lot of money and have a better time in a small bus of 15 or so. Was one of our most favorite excursions in Alaska! The place you go for lunch has the best pie!!

  10. We were on her for 60 days this year and the food was good, not great. We do not like some of the changes they have made to the menus. Especially formal night. We skipped several formal nights as we did not feel it was worth getting all dressed up for. We also missed all the Curtis Stone dishes on the dining room menu. When we asked we were told since there was a Share restaurant none of his items were served in the main dining room.

  11. On the Emerald they held it in Cafe Caribe so it was more private - they closed seating in Cafe Caribe that evening for Crab Shack only. We did not go, but others I talked to enjoyed it.

  12. There are a lot of new hotels opened or opening up in Brisbane so I would suggest looking at all the major booking and review sites for good deals. If you do hire a car you could look at staying at one of the hotels/motels around Hamilton which is near the cruise port. A cheap but very good value option there is the Kingsford smith Motel which gets lots of great reviews, have stayed there myself. Big comfy rooms and free parking. There are newer and more expensive hotels in that area now too. If you don't hire a car, stay in the city where you have even greater access to trains, buses, ferries, etc. Car parking in Brisbane city hotels is very expensive. A really great high end choice here would be the Marriot. You can often find deals around the $200 mark. And even try find a deal on a Club room there which often includes free parking if you do hire a car. BNE is a great city and if you base yourself there you're central to all sorts of tourist stuff within a 90 minute drive/day tours, eg Australia Zoo on the Sunshine coast.

Thanks! We chose the Kingsford Smith! Seems great with free shuttles to airport and cruise port too!

  13. What do you want to see, do, in Brisbane.

    What’s your budget.

We have never been before so would like to see any major highlights, must see or do. We love birds, animals and outdoors. Would like to keep hotel under $200 aud. This is a bucket

Its trip, so will consider anything. Hotel does not have to be posh. Not sure if we should stay closer to cruise terminal or downtown. There are 4 of us, so we could rent a car.
